The problem is there really isn't any good reason to do this. Depending on what the Rockies want, you're talking a rebuild destroying trade here. Hahn's wiser to just hold tight. He rebuilt huge portions of this team and has yet to see any of it on the field.

Not a stupid assumption. That's generally considered accurate. The cases are more likely to be underreported, leading to a higher overall mortality estimate. However, it's early so we don't know a lot yet.

Vacating trophies is a very bad idea. It doesn't make sense in college and it doesn't make sense in the pros. You can't unring the bell, it's done.

You're on the right track, but it's worse. The major sports leagues (even with baseball being a little different) are monopolies sanctioned by the government. If the game is rigged, there's no reason to sanction the monopoly any longer. The MLB answers to Congress answers to us.
