  1. Well said. Maybe you can recommend a good psychiatrist for chitownsportsfan
  2. Scalding hot take right there. Come back in a couple of seasons
  3. Jesus a couple of you need to buy some Cubbie blue hats and head up to Wrigley Field. The crying and moaning and chicken little act belongs in Lake View
  4. Also, it's not worth comparing baseball players to NBA or NFL players. None of the baseball players draw as much controversy or discussion as the equivalent NBA player. Just the nature of the game. NFL and NBA are just better at marketing players and are real-world more important.
  5. And a bad Mets team only matters when one of their pitchers goes down.
  6. I could see them suspending him for a game for something like this as it is blatant deception, however it's Todd Frazier. Real talk: no one cares about him. A-Rod just makes people mad.
  7. I misspelled "ejection" Sorry, I'm actually working a night shift in the Philippines.
  8. Yeah, something about this screams red-handed deception. He brought an unofficial ball into the field of play. I dunno.
  9. I guess, but I mean this is pretty bad. If they caught him doing it in real time it's probably a rejection.
  10. How is this not cheating?
  11. You listened to Kaplan...
  12. Not really. Yeah, he's struggled, but he'll be fine.
  13. I can only imagine what Eloy day will be like.
  14. I'm inclined to agree with your opinion about Trout but I wouldn't blame him for going somewhere relevant.
  15. Maybe they can try to increase ad revenue? The number of writers at the Athletic are remarkable.
  16. The belief is they can't outbid the usual suspects when it comes to big time contracts. It's too bad, but i wouldn't be surprised if Boston and NYY each had one of Harper, Trout
  17. IIRC, a good number of Cub fans were mad at the Chapman signing. Now, Russell is a little different because he had trouble after being traded.
  18. Yeah, if the goal is to be better in 2019, bullpen is so irrelevant. It's one of the easiest things to buy/replace. Plus, not all of our young arms are going to be starters. A team that builds a good bullpen expects to compete now
  19. If the highest post count becomes GM, we're hosed. GM Caulfield
  20. I think it will take at least two seasons to go from 60 wins to 85+ wins. There may be a 75 win season in here.
  21. "strongly suggested". JR did not make a mandate.
  22. If we didn't trade him first.
  23. The White Sox were damned if you do, damned if you don't. The farm system was trashed after years of reloading, so they had little they could use to trade and had to settle for high price, low return free agents. Management has clearly changed their philosophy, so I'm not all that worried about Rick Hahn. He has done everything right since he decided to rebuild.
  24. The actual best player anyone alive has ever seen plays on a team that has been perennially bad. Moral of the story: One player isn't enough in baseball. Sox still did the right thing for where they were.
