If the highest post count becomes GM, we're hosed. GM Caulfield
- KW on Jimenez/Kopech

"strongly suggested". JR did not make a mandate.

Moncada dropped to 8th in line up
If we didn't trade him first.

OT: Sale
The White Sox were damned if you do, damned if you don't. The farm system was trashed after years of reloading, so they had little they could use to trade and had to settle for high price, low return free agents. Management has clearly changed their philosophy, so I'm not all that worried about Rick Hahn. He has done everything right since he decided to rebuild.

OT: Sale
The actual best player anyone alive has ever seen plays on a team that has been perennially bad. Moral of the story: One player isn't enough in baseball. Sox still did the right thing for where they were.

A Fake GM's Rebuild To-Do List
That's a lineup that needs Madrigal for sure.

Gamethread: White Sox @ Tigers
Would it make you feel better if I said "acquire" instead of draft? Would it really change the point as it pertains to Don Cooper?
-
Gamethread: White Sox @ Tigers
Yup, he's the only one. GTFO with this nonsense.
-
Gamethread: White Sox @ Tigers
Because the only thing this organization can do is draft, develop, and maximize values of pitchers.

Gamethread: White Sox @ Tigers
I disagree. They may not be top of the rotation guys, but they're still pretty green to write them off as starters and Reylo has had a very good season.
-
Gamethread: White Sox @ Tigers
It's really hard to justify dumping Cooper. I just wonder if Reylo was lucky the first half of the season.
-
Gamethread: White Sox @ Tigers
He's definitely been an interesting specimen.

Rick Hahn
Unless he's planning on getting a Bobby Bonilla deal, Hahn is better off in an organization he owns.

The White Sox Aesthetic
Yeah, it's awful. Just stick with what we have.

The White Sox Aesthetic
I'm for that as well, as long as it doesn't become the primary in place of the SOX

The White Sox Aesthetic
I agree. The diamond sock is underutilized in our current look. It's a solid logo

Which of the current mlb players are significant pieces of the next good team?
Isn't it a little early for us to be putting Yoyo in the Pro Football Hall of Fame?
-
The White Sox Aesthetic
Yeah. It looks good for SF, but they also have a wordmark home jersey. I'm not saying it's required, but I can see why the Sox would want one wordmark

The White Sox Aesthetic
I wouldn't touch the pinstripes. It's a great look and it has been with the team for almost three decades consecutively. I do wish they would take a break from the solid black look. I also could see the road grey getting an update even though we never seem to use them. The only thing, however, I feel very strongly about with the White Sox "look" is the logo. Don't change the logo. The old english "Sox" is the best the team has had.

Yeah, when you think about the talent that has gone in and out of that place, the fact that they come up with poor man's Chris Rongey as the midday host is sad. He seems like a good guy, but he just sounds like White Sox post game all the time.

I like McKnight but he's not doing it for me. The midday show is super weird with no Chemistry. Should have kept B&G at the midday if they wanted Mac in afternoon drive.

"Magic/al" Madrigal
I don't know if it was the lack of constructive reasoning or the offensive remark (probably a violation of Soxtalk's policies), but that post didn't do anything for us.

Yeah, the "baseball is a business" thing is a bit of a straw man. Just from the very top level, each team runs as a business but it is an MLB franchise.
