  1. That's a lineup that needs Madrigal for sure.
  2. Would it make you feel better if I said "acquire" instead of draft? Would it really change the point as it pertains to Don Cooper?
  3. Yup, he's the only one. GTFO with this nonsense.
  4. Because the only thing this organization can do is draft, develop, and maximize values of pitchers.
  5. I disagree. They may not be top of the rotation guys, but they're still pretty green to write them off as starters and Reylo has had a very good season.
  6. It's really hard to justify dumping Cooper. I just wonder if Reylo was lucky the first half of the season.
  7. He's definitely been an interesting specimen.
  8. Unless he's planning on getting a Bobby Bonilla deal, Hahn is better off in an organization he owns.
  9. Yeah, it's awful. Just stick with what we have.
  10. I'm for that as well, as long as it doesn't become the primary in place of the SOX
  11. I agree. The diamond sock is underutilized in our current look. It's a solid logo
  12. Isn't it a little early for us to be putting Yoyo in the Pro Football Hall of Fame?
  13. Yeah. It looks good for SF, but they also have a wordmark home jersey. I'm not saying it's required, but I can see why the Sox would want one wordmark
  14. I wouldn't touch the pinstripes. It's a great look and it has been with the team for almost three decades consecutively. I do wish they would take a break from the solid black look. I also could see the road grey getting an update even though we never seem to use them. The only thing, however, I feel very strongly about with the White Sox "look" is the logo. Don't change the logo. The old english "Sox" is the best the team has had.
  15. Next person who posts a silly post with a user name which is an email address deserves to be signed up for a ton of new email subscriptions.
  16. Yeah, when you think about the talent that has gone in and out of that place, the fact that they come up with poor man's Chris Rongey as the midday host is sad. He seems like a good guy, but he just sounds like White Sox post game all the time.
  17. I like McKnight but he's not doing it for me. The midday show is super weird with no Chemistry. Should have kept B&G at the midday if they wanted Mac in afternoon drive.
  18. I don't know if it was the lack of constructive reasoning or the offensive remark (probably a violation of Soxtalk's policies), but that post didn't do anything for us.
  19. Yeah, the "baseball is a business" thing is a bit of a straw man. Just from the very top level, each team runs as a business but it is an MLB franchise.
  20. There are a number of posters here who went from Rebuilds don't work (Cubs win World Series) Our organization can't rebuild (White Sox start rebuild) Okay fine we'll rebuild Why isn't the rebuild over yet? What are Rick Hahn's qualifications? I don't know about all the Twitter era stuff, but when this team kept "reloading" and going for it with high paid bums only to be out in July, I was more angry than anyone here. My tune changed when the White Sox did the right thing and moved to build a younger squad.
  21. Agreed. When ownership said "Okay, we'll blow it up", they pretty much said "we buy this will be a multi-year rebuild". At this point, Rick has done exactly what he said he would do and the farm system progress with players moving up through the system indicates that, with some hiccups, this plan is working. This is what ownership bought. They expected this. We're at least two seasons from anyone considering putting Hahn on the hot seat.
  22. Yeah, because the Boston media isn't biased or anything.
  23. He just needs to be more protective with 2 strikes. He's fine. He's better off here than in Charlotte.
  24. I don't trust Rick Renteria's batting order to make any sense.
  25. Right, and leadoff is supposed to be an OBP guy. Yeah, he strikes out a lot, but his OBP is .80 higher than his BA. You want a guy who gets on base and you want him to get the most at-bats. It's fairly obvious why Moncada plays leadoff. Focus on the future dictates Moncada and Anderson bat near the top to get the most ABs
