Nothing totally news worthy out of this. Known Dye since he was with Atlanta, loves the kid (his words not mine), feels he will do well here. Uribe was his best offensive and defensive middle infielder last year. Willie still very inconsistent. Shingo is the closer. Says he met with JR and Kenny and told them what he feels they need, and that Kenny is going to work on it. Knows they need another starter and hopefully they'll get on before the meeting ends. That was about it.

According to my DirecTV guide, Baseball Tonight will be on Friday starting at 1:30 pm CST and going to 3:00. I assume they'll have live reports from the meetings.

The buzz out of NYC all day long has been that ND was unwilling to change admission standards, and that was the real deal breaker. Aparently at the end of it, ND had decided to up the money, but nothing on the admissions. Real power battle going on at ND.

I know Mario is good with this sort of thing, but I find it hard to believe Pohlad has more money then Big Stein.

Pohlad is the owner of the Twins as you know, Mike Ilitch is the owner of the Tigers-Wings.

Two things. 1. The owner of the Tigers/Red Wings also owns Little Ceasers, not Dominos. 2. The topic was brought up before, because thought he was taking money out of the hockey team and putting it into baseball. You can't do that.. Point is that Ilitch has lots of money and with the ASG coming to town, he's spending it knowing he'll make it back.

I just don't know where these whispers are coming from. I'm guessing that it's just a way to get another team into the bidding.

He was out of shape in training camp, I'm sure he's rusty, but he didn't look good to me.

Pippen was up at the Berto Center talking to the team the other day and playing a few guys in one on one. I'm not sure he would want to do tv, but he sounds good doing it. He'd be a good coach as well.

Pippen has been sitting next to Dore and Kerr the entire game. You could hear him screaming out tips and what not early in the game. He came on headset in the 2nd half and has been breaking down the game. He's such a breathe of fresh air, Kerr has to go.

For those watching the Bulls feed... I love hearing Dore and Pippen, Red is such a bastard.

I think Beane would ask for Marte in a deal for Hudson.
