  1. The following excuses are UNEXCEPTABLE for not attending the cell*: -Live out of the country/state. Leave now, and you'll be at the cell by gametime. No matter where in the world you live, its possible. "I live in Australia, I can't go to the cell....." SHUTUP. -Work. Skip work, Cub fans do it. Being a "blue collared", stereotypical sox fan you probably work at a factory anyways. No big loss. -No money. Work more. -Upcoming finals. You're going to fail, so just take time and enjoy life before your miserable existence drags on. -Family obligations: White Sox is you're real family fool. If you're a man (which I'm assuming all white sox fans are, since women don't watch sports), you will put a foot down and tell you girl to either 1. Shut her mouth or 2. Make dinner. -Sports: Haven't you realized you suck at sports? Everybody is laughing at you, but yet you attend practice and act as if you're halfway talented. If you continue to damper the integrity of this site with your s***tiness, I will be forced to find you...and kick your ass. Quit now. -No ride. Start walking! If you live in the south suburbs (no I won't pick you up) I recommend following the east side of the Dan Ryan up North. Don't belive your likely death will warrant your absense from the upcoming series. Atleast be curtious to the gunmen and leave a note that demands your bullet ridden corpse be placed outside the park. There you go, all excuses covered with solutions to every problem. Nuke and I expect all Sox fans to be at the Cell this weekend supporting the team; so be there. * Above thread was a joke. I'm sure most of you caught on, but just in case a misunderstanding occurs I didn't mean anything I said in the above post.
  2. I don't really buy into this. Humans have a highly developed brain capable of complex thoughts, I personally believe more intangibles go into selecting a partner then just "attraction." What about personality? Julia Roberts married a man several years ago that was just plain goofy looking. I wish I knew the guys name because he really was a Frankenstein looking neanderthal. Kate Hudson also wed (and had the children) of a man probably not very desirable to most women. A chistled jaw line does factor into what defines a man as good looking, but it undoubtedly is not the sole characteristic in choosing a parter. This reminds me of studies where men search for women who have the hour glass figure because it ensures them she is fit for child birth. If thats true, then how are so many unfit women having children? Similar to the study above, its too simplistic of an answer to what is perceived as an ideal partner. If an individual can "instinctively" choose a man/women who is best fit for carrying their children, then how can a scientist explain a human beings willingness to fly 30,000 ft. in an airplane? It would seem (to me) nearly the entire evolution of man we've been on the ground, whereas in the last 70 years humans have been involved in air travel. Should there be some evolutionary reaction preventing us from air travel? Flasoxjim, hopefully you're reading this thread as I know fo shizzle you have extensive knowledge pertaining to this topic.
  3. Here we go, right here, right now. Full count, runner on second, two outs, bottom of the ninth.
  4. Crede is lucky to have a handle on that ball. Though the tieing runner remains at second.
  5. BIG out for Koch. 1 out. Though lets not get too confident, he is still one pitch away from giving up a go ahead bomb.
  6. HOW MANY TIMES DOES HE WALK THE LEADOFF MAN? He's not just radioactive......this guy is f***ing plutonium.
  7. 1-2-3 is concept yet to be grasped.
  8. How many times has Rowand been intentionally walked in his career? LOL. Make em pay Manimal. You are batting over .600 against LH's.
  9. 1-2-3 for Damaso. How about some insurance? Botch awaits us in the 9th.
  10. GGAASSSSS,.....Gibbons K's. 2 outs. Matos up.
  11. Yes, I'm sick of them but I feel its necessary to promote the Sox every opportunity available. Of those commercials I love the one where he's complimenting different White Sox players: Olivo, "Crazy Man" Crede "Robin Ventura", and then he comes to Mark Buehrle; "Buehrle is a great guy to have on the team". It was as if he had no idea what to say.
  12. Unless Armageddon is breaking out in the North Suburbs, I have NO idea what that means.
  13. I was watching that too. I don't follow hockey so I never knew he grew up on the south side, and attended Mt. Carmel High School.
  14. "All aboard..........HA HA HA HA" Seriously though, if Botch botches another lead he should be released immediately. He hasn't pitched in a while, so you know tonight is Billy Time.
  15. Game on gentlemen.
  16. If this game is called, chalk this up as another "lucky" one run victory. :fthecubs
  17. Hawk: Decision will definately be made in 15 minutes. At the moment, he said, it was still raining at the cell.
  18. Damon Andrews (on Fox Sports Net) says the umpire crew is going to wait another thirty minutes before making a decision, but they believe the game will continue.
  19. 6-5 Sox and a three run homerun by Paul Konerko!!!!!!!!! Let it rain b****es!!!!!!!!
  20. Lee flies out to left to end the 5th inning. The game is now official, which means the rain will now begin to pour.
  21. No way the Sox are ready to play the Twins. If they trudge through the weekend like this you can expect them to be 3- 4 games out.
  22. Here in the south suburbs the rain is steadily coming down........ If only Diaz would of lasted one more inning befor serving up the three homeruns. :puke
  23. Retired 11 of 12 before the Garland-esque implosion.
  24. 1 out Double by Tejada off Action Jackson.
  25. Not exactly; Wright can't throw strikes. Diaz threw them alright, just right down the middle.
