Sonny Gray seems like an absolute no brainier to me. He shouldn't cost that much given his salary. You'd think Jerry would be willing to take on more Salary if it means competing. Sonny could be the difference between us making and missing the playoffs. They just need more starting pitching.

@Sleepy Harold @Y2Jimmy0 how do you go about evaluating these DSL players? It's a very low level of competition so I know simply looking at raw numbers can be deceiving. Are you focusing on physical projection and power stats like ISO? Sebastian Romero has obviously been super impressive with his .381 avg, .460 OBP and .831 SLG statline. Very impressive ISO. He's also got 12 SOs (2 BBs) in 44 PAs, so a 27% SO rate. Then you've got 16 year old SS Carlos Vielma. He's also got a silly statline. .475 avg, .604 OBP and .650 slugging in 13 games. Only 5 XBHs, so not as much power. But he also has 12 BBs and only 2 SOs. Do you put that much stock into walk rates in DSL, or is it deceiving with how bad some pitchers are? I remember being super impressed with Benyamin Bailey's 52:40 BB:SO in DSL as a 17 year old (.475 OBP). Then he was complete trash in the Arizona rookie league. Ronald Cardozo putting up .394 avg, .512 OBP and .758 slugging with 9 BB and 4 SOs. Showing good power and discipline. I wonder if he can stick at catcher as a 6'5 dude. These 3 DSL prospects have been damn impressive so far.

I hope Camiletti gets a shot soon - whether here or on another team. 27 years old. He's a 2B/3B and a lefty (of course) so unfortunately there's a lot of guys ahead of him on the depth chart. .308, .437, .488. I just want to see an older player like that get his shot after earning it.

Feels like our farm is pretty weak at this point. I get that we called a bunch of guys up, but it seems like most of the remaining guys have been underwhelming (aside from Bonemer). Will we have any top 100 guys aside from Bonemer? Maybe Carlson and Hagen Smith.
