  1. A tale as old as time.
  2. Really? I figured he'd at least be towards the bottom of the top 100.
  3. I wonder where in the top 100 Antonacci will rank after this season. I'm assuming it's a given if he keeps this production up. His ability to get on base is silly.
  4. It's absurd that you can't click a player's name and see their stats in the first link posted in this thread. Inexcusable on the MLB's part. Drives me nuts.
  5. You're right. His stats aren't atrocious or anything. Obviously hindsight is 20/20, but there were some good hitters available like you said. It's painful seeing multiple hitters drafted right after him excelling so much.
  6. Such a shame. I think they bought into the idea that they can turn any big lefty into a dominant pitcher. Missing on a high 1st rounder is really painful.
  7. That's how I view it. My buddies who are Cubs fans are furious that Ricketts hasn't been willing to dish out even a single big contract like the Dodgers and Yankees do regularly. They'll be very upset if the Cubs can't extend him.
  8. Imagine Ishbia takes more control next season and the Sox sign Tucker to send a message to the league. That would be glorious. Especially as a f*** you to the Cubs.
  9. Somebody else mentioned this. Changing the classic Sox logo that they've had for 3+ decades. No doubt it's an awesome logo, but the rebrand would represent change. The end of the Reinsdorf era. Would you be in favor or a rebrand/new logo?
  10. So well said. I was going to make a thread about Getz deserving kudos for this, be you summarized it really well. This organization couldn't draft or develop hitters AT ALL. The middle infield was always a hole aside from Tim Anderson. I love the players they've been drafting and developing. There's some guys with huge OBP potential. That's something this organization has sorely missed. Yeah, we definitely need guys with more power potential. But I like that the Sox have in the minors as far as infield prospects go.
  11. Since you love correcting everybody. 2004*** Chip Caray***
  12. Trading a guy right before his hamstring tears. Genius. Chris Getz operates on a different level.
  13. His ability to get on base is no joke. The Chairman of the Board (Antonacci) has real potential from what I've read. Kudos to Getz for building middle of the infield depth in our minors.
  14. It's because Chris Getz fleeces other GMs so badly in trades.
  15. The important part is that we got rid of him to solidify the #2 lottery spot. Sucks that we got absolutely boned by the rules and couldn't get the #1 lottery spor last season.
  16. @Y2Jimmy0 what are your thoughts on this Antonacci fella? His ability to get on base is really impressive.
  17. Come on Jerry, buy a few million worth of one of Trump's cryptocurrencies and request a pardon!
  18. You might be the only one happy about the Gonzales pick. I remember everybody hating the pick if I recall correctly.
  19. I know nothing about Antonacci, but that walk rate. Holy cannoli. Is he a legit prospect?
  20. Your kids grew up to be Cubs fans? SMH. I guess there was little hope with how the team has been run recently. What kid would choose the Sox over the Cubs?
