  1. This deserves a call-out to an all-time great post by @Timmy U . The good old days of Pedro loving trash players.

Cardozo 2-4 with a 2B and a BB in DSL. 6-5, 17 year old catcher who is now slashing .429, .581, .857 1.438 OPS with 9 BB and 2 Ks in 8 games. Between Romero, Vielma, and Cardozo, I'm predicting a minimum of 2 future allstars.
  3. The hope is that when Ishbia takes over, Boyer is gone and Ishbia throws big money at Benetti. Doesn't seem too outlandish.
  4. We're never going to find a Hawk replacement, unfortunately.
  5. 😂
  6. These games are sold out from what I saw. Sucks that Mune and possibly Shohei are both out.
  7. I can't wait for the Dodgers to crush the white Sox here. Chicago White Sox/OP needs to be taught a lesson.
  8. What's the play when he returns? Jacob Gonzalez has done a fine ass job since arriving. He's admirably filled in for Mune. He's batting .308, .419, .423.with a 145 wRC+. You can't send this dude down if he keeps performing. He also gives us some good flexibility. I like the idea of rotating players at DH to give them breaks. We Colson needs breaks for his back. We haven't had a rotating DH situation this great since we had Mark Kotsay and Ozzie. Will this be the nail in the coffin for Beni? I'll admit he's been playing better. He's still a negative WAR player who can't field or hit lefties. i don't care if he's been great these past 2 weeks. I don't like him and I want him off the damn team.
  9. So I take it Hagen Smith won't be needed for that start Saturday now that everybody will be pushed back a day?
  10. Good point. This guy is probably just filler trash. Why are we helping Cleveland get more international pool money? They are already way better than us at scouting and developing. Don't help them out.
  11. Is this an instance where all the players from the international money "year" they gave up money from are all signed basically? And this money would just not be spent?
  12. I live in the city and there has barely been s%*# so far. Light rain and some wind, but nothing crazy. They should have played.
  13. The 2nd game thread is clearly to blame.
  14. I never knew his brother was the CEO of Enron when everything blew up. Interesting.
  15. The minors do feel a little barren now with everybody we have called up. Especially with Hagen Smith potentially on his way. Need guys like Fauske to step it up.
  16. Definitely. I know DSL numbers can be deceiving (I'm looking at you Benyamin Bailey), but it's great that all three of these young guys are doing this well so far. Vielma is only 16.
  17. That son of a b**** is probably hoping for an F-5 tornado. He literally came out of retirement today for the storms.
  18. Wow, how'd I miss this?! The GOAT has returned! Welcome back Greg. Your presence has been missed. I'm sure you've been hating on the frequent use of openers.
  19. I see you've begun drinking earlier than usual!
  20. We've got a number of young players who are crushing it in DSL so far. Below are stats and some FutureSox info. I can't remember us having this many 16-17 year olds off to such great starts. Very encouraging sign. I'm getting awfully excited over here @Y2Jimmy0 @Sleepy Harold Sebastian Romero: 17 years old, 6-2, 175 pound, left handed CF (1.5mil signing) - 8 games, 34 PAs, 5 HR, 2 BB, 8 SO, .393 AVG, .471 OBP, .964 SLG, 1.435 OPS Ronald Cordoza: 17 years old, 6-5, 200 pound catcher (gigantic for a catcher and 17 year old) shows a power over hit profile with advanced receiving skills and a plus arm (375k signing) - 7 games, 27 PAs, 4 XBHs, 8 BBs, 2 SO, .389 AVG, .556 OBP, .833 SLG, 1.389 OPS Carlos Vielma: 16 years old, 5-10 160 pound SS, left handed (400k signing) - 8 games, 35 PAs, 5 XBHs, 9 BBs, 2 SOs, .500 AVG, .629 OBP, .769 SLG, 1.398 OPS https://www.futuresox.net/2026/05/31/2026-white-sox-affiliate-preview-domi/

Does this guy just shorten everybody's name and put "y" at the end of it for nicknames? We've got Bonny and Vargy so far.
  22. Huge mistake locking my thread and slandering me in this one. Check out what Gemini said about me. Can't say it's incorrect.
  23. That really sucks. What type of work do you do?
  24. If there is anything worse than somebody else making the game thread after a win, it's making a SECOND game thread after one is already made. The Sox are going to get spanked tonight because of OP's actions.
  25. Sebastian Romero with HR #5 in 8 games as a 17 year old. It looks like we hit the jackpot.
