  1. Randazzo seems like a no brainer if he wants to come back to Chicago. Amin is busy with the Bulls and national gigs. Does he have enough time to call the Sox too? Whoops, quoted an old post.
  2. I'm not a Schriff guy, but this is true. Dan (and I think Holmes) were unbelievably butthurt about Benetti leaving and Schriff replacing him. Dan still has a personal vendetta against Schriffen because of it. Pretty ridiculous to be that upset just because he replaced Jason.
  3. Hawk called into 670 to rip into Boers and Bernstein. Classic. I miss this type of stuff.
  4. Yeah, 670 is a complete dump now a days.
  5. I feel like recent draftees are always worn out the year they get drafted and don't perform too well. I think there's a chance he is up next year, but I have no issue waiting longer. I'll assume he isn't up next season. It makes most sense to put Bonemer at 3rd and let Vargas and Mune split time at 1st/DH, assuming Vargas doesn't get pissed about it. Vargas is at -4 OAA at 3rd base. I'd imagine Bonemer would be better than him. Call Bonemer up after we get the extra year of control.
  6. Roch's defense looks so damn good. He already looks like a gold glover based on the highlights. Can't wait for him to be patrolling SS.
  7. Do you think Antonacci has been a waste in left field? You gotta find a place for a dude like this to play. The infield is pretty much cemented for the near future. If they don't try him in the OF, then they have to trade an infielder or trade Bonemer. I really don't want to trade Bonemer. I think he could put up 40 HRs as an infielder. That's nasty. If they do move him, we're getting a stud pitching prospect back. I also don't hate the idea of trading Colson if you can get a great return. It's a really ballsy move. Somebody has to get moved in the infield. Colson has some injury concerns and contact/consistency concerns. Roch will be our SS when he's ready.
  8. It's weird. It feels like Jerry's operating the team as if he isn't selling it to Ishbia (even though we know he is). We've seen reports that he's trying to stifle Ishbia's plans for the new stadium at Amtrak. He still has hopes that he can build a stadium on the other side of the river next to the future Fire stadium. I'm not sure he'll be operating with the mindset of "this will be Ishbia's problem in the future". I also think he'll still be a cheap ass who sticks to his guns about not signing pitchers to big contracts, which we desperately need.
  9. He is irreparably butthurt by the Sox letting Benetti go. I honestly think that's the reason.
  10. Fucking lame
  11. Yeah, that was a big gripe of mine. Having the extra 10-15m (whatever it is after Dominguez) that we have to pay Castillo sucks when our owner is a cheap bastard.
  12. They are all negative WAR players with the Sox after tonight
  13. Getz managed to make this team worse with his deadline acquisitions.
  14. The Mets catcher's gear is pretty sweet. Letting them wear what they want was a great decision by the MLB.
  15. 100%. We need Mason Adams more than Doyle.
  16. The guy leads the entire minors in OPS, and he isn't even old for his level. Mason Adams looks ready to be a backend starter, and they gave up a DSL lottery ticket too. The problem with the trades have always been that Getz acquired fucking awful players. Nobody would have an issue if Getz got players that weren't garbage. Is Doyle even a more productive player than Mason Adams at this point? Lord knows we could use a starting pitcher to eat innings.
  17. Seriously. The pitcher who sucked in Seattle and the hitter who was literally the 2nd worst hitter in the league while playing in Colorado. Good thing we have them for multiple years.
  18. It's almost as if trading for players who have sucked this season wasn't a good idea.
  19. Boneheads like you will find any reason to complain about a development. You're never going to make everybody happy. They're replacing an industrial property with a similar industrial property. The pollution from it is literally a drop in the bucket compared to vehicular traffic from major streets. It reminds me of the people that were furious about the Lincoln Yards development. The developers were remediating heavily contaminated former Final Steel + multiple other industrial properties and replacing it with commercial/residential, and possibly an entertainment venue, and people were bitching about it.
  20. I'm more annoyed about giving up Mason Adams. You could argue that Mason Adams is already a better player than Doyle is.
  21. First they fired Bernstein (also a Sox fan) then Mully? It does seem like they're out for Sox fans. Ricketts is putting pressure on the radio station of the Cubs!
  22. Go Sox go. Go Sox go. Hey Chicago whataya say, the Sox are going to win today.
  23. I've had all of them except For no and Pizz'amici. Michael's is phenomenal. Pat's is very good too. Lakeview area has some great pizza. I would get Michael's all the time when I lived there.
  24. Stone definitely doesn't like this guys jumping. Of course Schriff does, lol.
