6/17 GT - White Sox @ Yankees (6:05pm CST)
The challenge system is so fucking stupid. Use ABS make all ball and strike calls.

Our staff just isn't good enough to beat good teams regularly.

I like your optimism. f*** it, comeback and win is coming for our Sox.

Pretty confident we drop this one. Already down 2 to the Yanks in their field. We'll just have to hope we don't get swept.

His groundball rate in the minors was pretty bad.

Braden loves hitting groundballs.

6/17 Games
Gabe Davis lit the F up. 3 home runs allowed. Bonemer 0-3 with 2 SOs and a BB in game 1.

Fail!

It's not looking good. The Yankees just brutalized our Alpha Male on mound. That was a very bad sign. Just wait until they get to face the Betas in the rotation these next couple games.

Call him the hell up. Hasn't he homer twice since his rehab stint started?

Good point. We should just ban him out of caution.

He doesn't want to get attacked by rabid NYCers.

Braden needs to rush the mound and pummel Cole. He's got the strength to do it.

6/16Games
The guy looks like a complete stud. Here's the statlines for our big 3 DSL prospects. Cardozo is the 17 year old, 6'5 catcher and Vielma is the 16 year old shortstop. Hard not to be excited with how they've started. All 3 have OPS's north of 1.240. Romero looks especially big time. He seems like he could be one of the young international guys that just explodes onto the scene.

I get it. He's also a local guy which is cool. I'm just really high on Bonemer. I'd prefer to keep him over a similarly ranked pitching prospect personally. Like I said, I see him having 40 HR power as a middle infielder. It would take a lot for me to part ways with him.

I feel a lot of people are focusing on Bonemer's high strikeout rate and are a little down on him, but he had 18 bombs in 61 games at A+ as a 20 year old. He even took Gerritt Cole deep. The guy is a stud. Gunnar Henderson as a 20 year old in A+ had 9 HRs in 65 games with a 30% strikeout rate. Bonemer at the same age in A+ has 18 HRs in 61 games with a 29% strikeout rate and basically the same BB%. They had basically the same SO% and BB% but Bonemer had way more power. Bonemer has legit 40 HR power as a middle infielder. I'm not trading him unless it's for a big time player.

Plus we have Gonzalez who could fill in at 2B now. Bonemer is relatively close and has a big offensive ceiling. Then you have Baldwin take Sam's spot in LF next season if we want to move him back to 2B. Only downside to me is our lack of right handed hitting currently and Meidroth seems popular in the clubhouse. I'd listen to any potential Meidroth offers if I was Getz.

The opportunity to trade Meidroth for a 3 WAR starting pitcher that is under control arises. Do you make the trade?

At what point do we start to believe?
I was half joking, but I've said before that they're going to need to move some of the middle infield depth at some point, and he's the first guy I'd move. There's plenty of other options available now and in the future with Antonacci, Gonzalez, Bonemer, Roch (assuming we draft him). It would suck to trade him now when he's performed really well and is seemingly a big piece in the clubhouse. But I completely get it and agree with you that his current play may be his ceiling and/or not sustainable.
