  1. Samardzija to the Astros for Appel, Nottingham, and Phillips/Fisher Alexei to the Pirates for Willy Garcia Soto to the Dodgers for Johan Mieses
  2. Matt Cooper, closer for Kanny, needs to be in AA or something. He is dominating low A
  3. Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal 4m4 minutes ago Sources: #BlueJays showing strong interest in #Brewers RHP Mike Fiers. No deal close; MIL not especially motivated to move him. Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal 4m4 minutes ago Fiers is earning $512.5K. Not arb-eligible until 2017, under club control through ’19. #Brewers would require multiple pieces in return.
  4. The Tigers are now under 500. They have given up the 3rd most runs only in front of the Phillies and Rockies.
  5. QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 20, 2015 -> 10:30 AM) so am i missing something here. is he implying that this is the first yr of the rebuilding???? First year of at least being competitive.
  6. Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal 8m8 minutes ago Sources: #WhiteSox in “listening mode.” Samardzija most likely to go; only potential free agent of significance. Team also could add. Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal 9m9 minutes ago #WhiteSox will not tear down, trade Sale, etc. Did not simply put club together for 2015. View season as first of at least 3-year window.

  8. Wonder if Bucket or Rock have any updates on what is being talked about now that the deadline is 11 days away.
  9. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 04:43 PM) Great game, but I was checking out the lineup and it doesn't look like there are any real prospects on this team he's facing. Where do the Reds put their prospects? Their system is pretty weak. The best player on that AA team is Winker and he struck out twice against Montas. Hawkins 2-4 HR, 3 RBIs Anderson 2-4 2 RBIs Delmonico 1-3 RBI, BB
  10. At least we know we will sell for sure now.
  11. QUOTE (harkness @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 02:15 PM) The middle of our line up is such a pile of dog **** No power.. Abreu has me worried he is looking like a 1 year wonder. He's definitely hurt. I think that finger/hand is hampering him a lot more than people think.
  12. Escobar wasn't even looking when he picked that. The Royals are so ****ing lucky
  13. QUOTE (Bruce_Blixton @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 01:25 PM) This thread was just posted on Reddit detailing some alleged inside info into a possible Reds-Dodgers trade for Cueto. Interesting to use as a basis for Shark trade to the Dodgers. https://www.reddit.com/r/baseball/comments/...n_the_reds_and/ That didn't make sense at all. I think I can go on saying that guy has no clue what he is talking about
  14. This tweet bothered me Aaron Leming ‏@AaronLemingNFL 32m32 minutes ago That's a bench-able move right there once again by Adam Eaton. Caught staring at the ball instead of running. Cost him a hit. #WhiteSox When a player hits a line shot at somebody and they don't catch it, every single player hesitates. I've done it many times throughout my life, its just a natural reaction. People are just trying to nit pick right now.
  15. If these Taker rumors are true about screwing Brock over and them fighting at Summerslam. I really hope Cesaro goes after Rollins for the title along with Ambrose.
  16. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 11:39 AM) I don't think Saladino is the answer at 3B either, but he's been impressive in his first few games up. The Sox need all the production they can get out of the position, so they might as well keep him there until he shows he can't do it or a better option comes along. I think he's the Sox long term answer as far as a bench player goes - filling in all over the IF. He certainly doesn't help Sanchez, Boni, or Beckham make their case to stay on the 25-man. I agree with Saladino not being long term answer anywhere in the infield, but he will make for a very good utility player. Brings a good glove, can hit, and has good speed.
  17. QUOTE (raBBit @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 11:17 AM) I'll be there. Putting my 1-8 record to the test. I haven't lost 8 times at Sox games in my life
  18. I think an NL team will pick him up. Hopefully we can get an arm for him
  19. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Jul 17, 2015 -> 05:31 PM) Two trades: Shark to the Astros for OF Brett Phillips and a low level prospect Quintana to the Cubs for C Schwarber + 2 lower prospects Sox will not deplete the rotation like that.
  20. QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 17, 2015 -> 05:06 PM) so you are saying the same thing i am in my trade idea. which was done on a fly. same reasoning there. The difference is your saying trade Q, who is a 3-5 WAR proven player for prospects which are unknowns. I'm saying trade our higher end pitching unknowns to the other teams for their high end hitting unknowns
  21. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 17, 2015 -> 04:40 PM) That is one horrible lineup. The only way this team could have had a good offense is if the meat of the order, Cabrera, Abreu, Laroche, Garcia raked this season. Eaton and Beckham are average to below average ballplayers; Flowers is below average catcher; Sanchez and Saladino are not big league regulars for any other team. It would have helped if Eaton raked this season as well. If he was a .320 type basher. I'd say this one has 7-0 loss all over it or maybe 7-2 if the Sox are hot. Eaton has been our 2nd best hitter this season. Saladino will be a utility player but I think very useful one.
