White Sox will be buyers at the deadline
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 01:57 PM) Wonder what it would take to get tampa to listen on Longoria. Davidson, Montas, Danish, and Anderson for Longoria

7/29 White Sox vs Red Sox 6:10 CT
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 01:41 PM) These next two games will decide the fate of the season, good thing we have our two best starters going in them. Wade Miley was actually the Red Sox's best healthy starter...it's no wonder why they've been awful, all their starting pitchers have ERAs north of 5. I can't believe they're going to start paying Porcello 15+ mil a year starting next year lolol

7/29 White Sox vs Red Sox 6:10 CT
QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 01:17 PM) I wish it were June 29 again. 50-50 with 62 left--I'm all in. 48-52, and losing ground to Min, Bal, and Tor, sell. 49-51? Stand pat, and hope. 2nd day in a row I messed up the title lol. Someone please fix it. And I agree with your scenarios

7/29 White Sox vs Red Sox 6:10 CT
No lineups yet but, the Red Sox are somehow -115 favorites for this game lol. We win, we most likely stand pat or buy, we lose, we very well might sell.

QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 12:56 PM) Jerry Crasnick @jcrasnick 1m1 minute ago #Braves are also fielding some calls on A.J. Pierzynski and Jonny Gomes. Battled-tested, stretch drive acquisition types. https://twitter.com/jcrasnick I'm not interested in Gomes...but AJ maybe. He's on a 1 year 2 million dollar deal. 1.3 offensive WAR player(.4 overall). If we were to trade for AJ, I'd be willing to give up a guy like Kyle Hansen.

I hope the Tigers win, so they buy and continue to suck after that. We win tonight and gain a game on the Rays in WC

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 11:55 AM) Check this 3 team trade out.... Sox-Dodgers-A's. Sox acquire C Stephen Vogt (lefty to pair with Soto). Dodgers acquire Jeff Samardzija Athletics acquire prospects from Dodgers. So for the Sox, it's a swap of Shark for Vogt. That's brutal for us.

Confirmed three-way trade
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 10:43 AM) I thought this was bigger initially but Latos has been pretty pedestrian to bad this year and Morse has been awful. Morse has ben bad. Lagos was bad early, but has been pretty good last 5-7 starts.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 12:29 AM) Just the fact that he pitched pretty terribly tonight against Boston in the 9th. Is that sarcasm because Jennings did fine in the 9th. He gave up a soft single over Alexei's head, got a soft grounball double play, and a K.....

QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 10:10 PM) plus some really talented young 19-21 yr old prospects developing. Exactly, Sox have the pitching prospects that teams could be looking for and they have enough guys that are/could be close in case of injury (Beck, Jaye, Drabek). Would you guys do Avi, Montas, Anderson, and Erik Johnson for Ross and Upton? I think I would.

Official Buyers Thread
QUOTE (staxx @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 10:08 PM) If Anderson is in that deal you better have Upton wanting to resign. I'd be fine with that if you exclude Anderson and replace him with Trey M/Adams Anderson in my deal essentially gets us Ross who replaces Danks in the rotation and is young, controllable, really cheap and insurance for next year in case Jeff walks.

QUOTE (Mike F. @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 10:05 PM) I wouldn't mind Cashner either. Avi, Anderson, Montas, Danish, Adams, and someone else for Upton, Ross, and Cashner. That's overboard, don't need that much. I think Upton and Ross for Avi, Montas, Anderson, and Erik Johnson could be enough. Ross would give us insurance in case Samardzija doesn't resign. But if he does, this rotation is stacked for the next 5 years and still Fulmer to come up.

Players I would want in order: Puig, Upton, CarGo. Throwing a random question out there, if you go after Upton, why not try and get Ross in the package? I think I would give up some big prospects for that. And then a rotation of Sale, Samardzija, Quintana, Ross, and Rodon the rest of the way would be insane with Danks being pushed into long relief.

I want Puig so bad lol. If you can get it done without giving up Q, I'd be all for it.

Collin Whitchurch @cowhitchurch The Toronto Blue Jays have scored 175 more runs than the White Sox this season and are 0.5 games ahead of them in the Wild Card standings. What an amazing stat.
