  1. And after tonight, we're pissed! Umpires suck! A few beers on air will make it exciting. You're going on now? Sweet!
  2. I'd rather see that then them hitting the s*** out of him.
  3. Good I can finally make a broadcast. I've only heard half of one all year.
  4. They had about 37000 for the opener this year, about the same as last year. Last year in game 2 they got 4700 out, I'm not sure about tonight. If they played at Jerry park for all of their games they would sell out every game. (About 13000 I would guess). The football team in Montreal used to draw 5000 at the big O, since movie to the University stadium they have sold out every game for 5 years(15000 I think). This team isn't put on T.V. and they lose there best players every year despite being quite competitive in a brutally hard division. Fans are not the problem in Montreal.....the stadium and the ownership is.
  5. Uggggh. Ignorant and stupid is a terrible way to go through life.

    hey jas

Like early this afternoon me too.
  7. Go 'Spos!!!!!!! Okah is pitching f***ing awesome
  8. ????? You want a guy who walked 12 times a year teaching our lead off man? I'll pass thanks. He can teach fielding perhaps, but not hitting.

    The Simpsons

I forgot my true all time favorite was the Mr. Burns softball team
  10. tsn sars article SARS kills at a lower clip then the Flu, it is and will be a horrible tradgety but I think it's getting more regard then so many other killers it's a shame. This is 15 people in a city of what 6000000? I wonder how many drunk drivers killed?
  11. None of our players are immune to ripping untill they win something. I'd say the reason for ripping on Rowand,Paul,Garland,Koch,Konerko ect. to this point is obvious. People haven't blased Lee since he started hitting. People will be happy with any player that earns their paycheque.
  12. Going into camp After being erratic in Toronto, he was still erratic in Oakland last year, yet was named Rolaids Relief Man thanks to his 44 saves. He'll try to settle down as the White Sox's closer in 2003. Assets At the same time, he's a catcher's worst and best friend because of the way he pulverizes their palms while blowing a 100-mph fastball past hitters. Has a deceptively lanky build, bowed legs and bizarre beard: just the kind of physical quirks stereotypical of a top-flight closer. Flaws Due to his relatively straight fastball, he doesn't ring up as many K's as might be expected. He often lacks the killer instinct necessary for his role and appears shaky. Career potential Koch is only a top closer on a team that will bail him out when he gets them in trouble.
  13. We're not supposed to rag an a closer who makes 5+ million a year and has an era of 8+. I'm a fan to the end I'll cheer and support anyone who dons the uni. But I know the smell of horses*** and Koch to this point makes my nose itch. For all our sake may he work through it as so many contend will occur, but I'm not convinced and am so entitled to that.

    Awesome!!!!!

Came to $532.35 if anyone cared. I don't know if they have something similar in the U.S. but here it's called Sports Select it's run by the lottery corp. you can bet on all the major sports. They give you odds for each team you have to pick at least 3 and everyone you pick has to win. I usually wait 'till football season, but yesterday I had a hunch, I guess. Minny fans were "Wild" in games 6, the only team to retire jersey #1 for their fans.
  15. Mathew

    Awesome!!!!!

That one Minny assistant who stood frozen was priceless. I jumped and celebrated more than did the Wild, crazyness. I won a good bit of money tonight too. Did a ticket with the Sox to win, the Twinks to lose, the Wild, Flyers, and Canuckle heads to win, bet 20 bones and probably won $500, I'll find out tomorrow, hence the Rye drinking, great night for me and hopefully everyone here too.
  16. Baggs you win great post. I'll try the list thing, since the gay bashing thread is just irritating I'll pretend I didn't see it. Dumbest s*** I can think of after half a bottle of rye. 1. Starting drinking alcohol 2. Quiting drinking 3. Starting up again 4. Running for public office 5. Winning the election I'm gonna be called lame on this one but the worst s*** I have done or have seen done, I really can't type on the computer, I tried like 5 times and erased it because I have yet to do any of the stories justice. I'll try for tomorrow, on a clear sober head I think I can put something down that really qualifies for stupid. I think it's safe to say I've really enjoyed my life to this point, even though it can be suumed up mainly as a failure. I never graduated from high school, but that was easily the best 5 years of my life. I loved living in a small town knowing everybody and getting some "attention" by some girls with very low self esteem. For such a mostly polite, and fairly well rounded person, I am a total ass.
  17. He's had a tendency to blow up come later in the season, but if Loaiza isn't your favorite Sox player through 20 games you've been watching a different team then me. I don't care who he's pitched against, you gotta win baby!
  18. Mathew

    Baines

But Koch is and has been a solid closer for many years? Him piping fastballs and throwing Parque velosity is just a faze, thank goodness I though he was sucking ass.
  19. I might be able to get to Seattle for those games I'll look into it.
  20. Mathew

    Awesome!!!!!

That was sweet as hell. Bye Colorado, Bye Detroit Bye Toronto who's next?
  21. Because you have to keep spewing your garbage on the boards. There are some younger posters on these boards and I don't want them to think that your so called "rules" have any baring on reality. Get a clue and leave your "rules" to yourself.
  22. I know this off topic and I'm getting sucked in again, but I sick and f***ing tired of Clujer making ignorant generalizations about people and things and then hiding behid the vail of well there are exceptions to every rule. When you insist that people who fraternise with criminals haven't any morals or principals that's ignorant. So cwsox is without morals because he has met RPS who was once charged with a crime? What another exception? Saying stupid s*** as you have before and undoubtedly will again is ignorrant, hurtful and stupid please quite making generalization about things of which you know nothing about.
  23. Aim at the numbers and if you're gonna miss, miss low. I threw at a few people and don't regret one, but not at the head, anybody should regret that injury or not. Sosa was pretty slow on that pitch, he must have though it was gonna break, 'cause he didn't move outta the way at all he pretty much took half a step into it while cocking his bat. hearing that he is okay is the best bad news I've gotten in a while.
  24. Since cwsox seems to have missed this one, I'll chime up, the upper deck is great. I had the choice of any where to sit and still sat in the UD. They trash it because it's steep, which is what makes it great. No obstructed views and a good view from everywhere in the park. Old stadiums and arenas especially used to have great seats in the UD, but now people are so entrenched in their PC piffle that you can't have them anymore. The Old Montreal Forum, Boston Gardens, Maple Leaf Gardens all were killer steap and great to watch a game in. When you used to watch hockey on TV the views the camera could bring made the game way more exciting, now it looks distant and flat and you see poeple's heads. If you are afraid of heights or are going to drink so much that you can't climb the stairs don't sit there, that's a given. Long Live the upper deck!
