We already know Leury, Harrison, Mendick, and Burger aren’t long term answers at 2B. Giving the kid a look should absolutely be under consideration when it doesn’t cost a 40 man spot and this team desperately needs an answer at 2B.

As am I. Deep down I know it will be Leury or maybe Harrison, but desperately hoping there is some option I’m not thinking of.

The point would be to give the kid a look. The rest of the detritus on the roster should have no bearing.

I’m critiquing the forced nationalism of standing for the anthem, and how this country treats its veterans after they return from pointless skirmishes abroad. I am in no way criticizing those who have served. This nation is incredibly flawed, despite how horrible other nations are. I’m not overly interested in arguing with you, but by all means twist what I’m saying for your own gratification. Peace.

I don’t disagree. But the notion that not standing for the anthem disrespects the troops is BS to me. Group shows of nationalism are hollow. How we as a people group treat veterans both in policy and in the every days says far more than standing or not standing at a sporting event.
