  1. $100M / 30 teams = 3.333. $75M seems plenty fair to me. $20M is a joke though.
  2. That may be true. I don't think I paid close attention to that vote. JR might still have it out for the union and not care one iota how it impacts his 2022 club like in 1994, but we don't know anything for sure. It sucks as fans either way, but a personal vendetta against JR is misplaced energy here IMO.
  3. We don't know if he has Manfred's ear, or how involved he is this time around. 1994 was also a long time ago.
  4. These numbers just aren't that far apart. There is a way here, but I have zero faith in the owners to act in good faith.
  5. Bob was right out in front. And we ate it up.
  6. If this is more obstinate owner hardball I swear...
  7. I tend to agree. Bob's tweet is vague. We don't know exactly what those gaps are or if they have shrunk at all. After yesterday's marathon both sides should know where the compromises are.
  8. $230M and $50M gets it done I have to think. Middle ground numbers and a compromise on both sides.
  9. I like a Best of 3 Wild Card round far better than the current 1 and done do or die. A 3 day layoff for the top two division winners is a good break but not too long of a layoff. I wouldn't hate it if this is what happens.
  10. Defense at 2B should be the priority there with the offense already in the starting lineup. Should not be difficult to fill, and no reason to get cute with it either.
  11. But I would hope those are minute details that could be hammered out fairly easily now that there has been actual movement on the recalcitrant side. Even the adjustments you listed above are wins for the owners IMO. Just not the union crushing wins they originally hoped for.
