  1. You are asking a "baseball stupid" organization filled with "baseball stupid" players to be able to execute fundamentals. That's just not happening. 7th game this season the Sox took a lead into the 7th inning or later and lost. 3rd time this has happened in the last five games played. Sox could have been 5-0, instead they are 2-3. Booser has been directly responsible for losing two of the seven games. Last year the Sox took a lead into the 7th inning or later and lost 27 times. This year they may come close to that mark again.
  2. If you remember Getz's comment from a few weeks ago it appears that they do not have a high opinion of him or feel he's a long term solution.
  3. True but a lot of that is because the franchise itself is incompetent, dysfunctional and inept from top to bottom.
  4. There are seemingly countless examples of Hahn and now Getz wasting JR's "precious" $$$$$ on has been's, stiffs, injury-prone guys and retreads 'hoping' they will suddenly do well when historically the prior results said it was a very long shot at best. Yet when it comes to paying top dollar, for game changing franchise altering talent, that is apparently off limits. Who can figure out the logic in that philosophy.
  5. I would be very, very surprised if Colson was here before the All-Star break. He's starting to play better but this is a very small sample right now, they don't want to destroy his confidence by bringing him up and seeing him fall flat on his face. As bad as this team is Colson isn't going to change that dynamic, let him keep showing he has turned the corner. I wouldn't mind if he stayed in Charlotte the entire season, maybe come up in September.
  6. “I had a green light, and I was sitting on one look right there, and I got it. I wasn’t expecting (an) inside move. It’s just a well-timed inside move by them. Looking to be aggressive with one out, trying to get to third and give us an opportunity for a sac fly, passed ball, something like that.”--Michael Taylor
  7. Just another game where a lack of fundamentals (fielding, base running) and a bad bullpen snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. 6th time this year the Sox took a lead into the 7th inning or later and lost the game. 3th time this year the lead was lost in the 9th inning. Leasure has personally been responsible for two of the six lost games and helped lose a third. I don't know if he has much of a future myself. Sosa already with nine errors this year which is heading into Tim Anderson territory over a full year.
  8. He wanted to, it just never happened. Don't know how he did in his career against the Sox but I remember an August game in 1990, the Game of the Week on CBS at Comiskey Park where he gave up the game winning hit to Ozzie.
  9. The Sox have scored three runs or less in 34 out of the 52 games played, 65%. That's actually an improvement. A few weeks ago they were at 70% total games scoring three runs or less. 65% is still really bad though.
  10. 2.7 to 3 million dollars is big money to me and I'm guessing is to you as well.
  11. It's called ownership with a long track record to prove you not being willing to trust them is probably a very wise decision.
  12. Another guy we had high hopes for who completely flamed out and did basically nothing but collect big money.
  13. It's the White Sox way.
  14. Good in the sense that they are saying nothing is wrong and the MRI was clean. Time will tell however as memories of Rodon, Dunning and Martin keep coming back.
  15. And born and raised a White Sox fan.
  16. An excellent 'fill-in' choice in my opinion: https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/news/dan-plesac-set-to-join-white-sox-tv-broadcast

  18. It's not all on the manager and coaches, "baseball-stupid" players have some responsibility as well.
  19. Remember TLR played Mike Squires (who is left handed) at third base and catcher multiple times.
  20. From the Sun-Times: The unreliable offense and shaky bullpen are largely why the Sox have the same record as last season. They have blown eight saves in 12 opportunities. The bullpen’s ERA was 24th in the majors. Of the relievers who’ve pitched more than 10 innings, six of the eight have an ERA of 3.00 or higher. And more often than not, the Sox’ offense hasn’t produced enough runs when needed to support the rotation. Getz said the goal this past offseason was hiring director of hitting Ryan Fuller, Venable and the rest of the coaching staff. With the Sox being more pitcher-oriented, Getz said the organization needs to “focus on bringing in players that can help us on the offensive side.” https://chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox/2025/05/22/after-50-games-white-sox-on-par-with-last-years-team
  21. Agreed, as long as current ownership is in charge of both franchises they are going nowhere fast. Original question isn't even relevant.
  22. Sox Machine does a deep dive on Vaughn: https://soxmachine.com/2025/05/andrew-vaughn-is-playing-more-than-ever-but-also-less

  24. 5th game this year the Sox took a lead into the 7th inning or later...and lost the game. Nothing has really changed from last year as others have pointed out.
  25. That's the White Sox way! 🤡
