Ownership breakdown: ishbias 35%, Reinsdorfs 50%
On the few situations when he has spoken publicly about it he has always said he has told his family that when he dies they should "keep the Bulls and sell the Sox."

Offense non-development...
There have also been some relief pitchers the past few years who as soon as they joined another team started to perform much better. I'm absolutely convinced the losing which has permeated every aspect of the dysfunctional organization is a factor. Since 2007 this is one of the worst teams in baseball, mentally that is hard to fight through if you are a player regardless of how much you are getting paid. The comments this past week from Lynn, Cease and Crochet just strengthen that impression of mine.

As I recall Todd Frazier was pretty good.

Solid story asking about the offensive side of the organization and the issues: https://www.southsidesox.com/2025/4/14/24407840/lack-of-offensive-progress-a-growing-indictment-of-chicago-white-sox-gm-chris-getz-record

Has been since basically 2019.

4/13 game thread vs Boston 1:10 first pitch
The Sox have now scored three runs or less in 11 of the 15 games played this year. The record when they score three runs or less is 1-10.

Stadium contract...
To the best of my knowledge the suites have never been completely sold out for the season. if it did happen, I'd guess it was in 2006 after the World Series win. Yes, the HOK firm that designed Comiskey Park II said they offered JR a Camden Yards style design and he turned it down.

With this offense or lack of same you knew it was going to be a tall task to beat Crochet.

Fire Chris Getz
They can't even stay healthy.

Slater torn meniscus; Jones back
Anybody in the system that has a potential future and that is not a cast off, has been...regardless of position.

The good news in theory is the kids can play (assuming Getz will let them...)

He's been with them on the road as well, at least so far.

It wasn't Merkin doing the story but Steve Greenberg of the Sun-Times.

Crochet speaks...
Crochet now joins Lynn and Cease in commenting directly or indirectly on the White Sox organization: From the Sun-Times: “It felt like the big leagues, you know?” the former White Sox pitcher said of his introduction to life with the Red Sox. My guess is he is the "fill-in" stringer for the regularly assigned beat writer. Unlike in the old days when the beat writer covered every single game from April through September. Today they get occasional weekends off and vacation time.

CNBC lists Ishbias as co-owners of Sox with 2025 purchase date
From the Sun-Times: A Sox spokesperson said a CNBC report listing brothers Justin and Mat Ishbia alongside Jerry Reinsdorf as controlling owners of the team is inaccurate. The Athletic recently reported Justin Ishbia, who with his brother owns the NBA’s Suns, planned to increase his existing minority stake in the Sox and to abandon a pursuit to purchase the Twins. In its valuations of major-league franchises Friday, CNBC incorrectly reported the Ishbias as Sox co-owners.

JR playing politics with Comcast...
It's called a la cart programming and most if not all cable companies feel that is to difficult to execute.

CNBC lists Ishbias as co-owners of Sox with 2025 purchase date
Sorry I can't help you there. This is some new information but remember it was just last week where Nightengale (who is the only media member JR speaks to) in his Sunday column clarified that despite the new minority owners he isn't selling nor giving up any control of the day to day operations.

You should see some of the Dodger stuff he has in his office.

Sox "way behind everyone else" Lance Lynn
With the almost sure thing that the owners are going to lock out the players and perhaps gut the 2027 season 2028 may be a better guess. By the way saw a story today which said owners are contemplating asking for a salary cap and a salary floor for the next negotiations. MLBPA is saying a salary cap simply will not fly.
