Tim Anderson to be suspended 1 game for... language?
Well done.

Tim Anderson to be suspended 1 game for... language?
Not only is Anderson the likely leader of the team, but he's now the most popular player on the White Sox nationwide.

Sorry to break it to you but Jackie Robinson would side with Tim Anderson on this one. Edit- I see from a later post that you agree with me, but there are people on Twitter arguing that Robinson would oppose Anderson here which is just ridiculous.- Tim Anderson to be suspended 1 game for... language?
Right. I get where @Texsox is coming from, but the optics of this are just terrible. On Jackie Robinson week no less- Tim Anderson to be suspended 1 game for... language?
There's a relatively easy way for this to have been handled, and MLB looked at that route and decided to do the exact opposite- 4/19 White Sox @ Tigers | 6:10 PM CT | Rodon v Zimmerman

Yeah, Pillar got 2 games for homophobic language IIRC- Tim Anderson to be suspended 1 game for... language?
Speculation from?- Tim Anderson to be suspended 1 game for... language?
I wonder why Anderson got disciplined and Schwarber didn’t. It’s a head-scratcher!- Tim Anderson to be suspended 1 game for... language?
Kyle Schwarber cussed out an ump last week and wasn’t disciplined, btw- Tim Anderson to be suspended 1 game for... language?
I’m really curious as to how MLB is gonna announce/justify it. I wonder if Joey Votto will be suspended for his “over the top” celebration last night?- Tim Anderson to be suspended 1 game for... language?

Moncada- Jason Benetti's commentary during Anderson vs. Royals
My main gripe with Benetti used to be that he would ask questions too often, to the point where he was rarely ever saying anything of value. I was told by some on here that he would eventually tone that down, and sure enough, he's now asking questions at (in my opinion) more appropriate times while adding his own thoughts as well.- Early Promotions?
Players are signing these extensions right now because of the financial security they provide. A lot of these players have families (either back home, if they're originally from elsewhere, here in the states, or both) who are depending on them, so signing long-term deals now is very reassuring. Robert/Moncada and others who signed monster bonuses right off the bat don't really face this issue because they already have more than enough money to provide for both themselves and others, so they have more incentive to just play and see how much their value can increase. So to raBBit's point, the Sox are gonna want to play the service time game to guarantee 7 years of Robert since he's unlikely to agree to an extension.- 4/18 Games
Exactly. If he wanted to be taking walks right now, he would be. The competition is just such a joke that walking, in this context, has fallen way down the list of preferred outcomes.- 4/18 Games
Speak for yourself! Nice to see that BABIP begin to normalize.- Acceptable Strikeout Rate
Definitely irrelevant if OBP/OPS/wRC+/wOBA, whatever you want to use, is good. Joey Gallo, for example, has a career .822 OPS but a 38% strikeout rate. He is a valuable batter because of the good OPS.- 4/18 12:10 pm - White Sox v. Tigers (Nova v. Ross)
Well let's hope he doesn't go 0-32- 4/18 12:10 pm - White Sox v. Tigers (Nova v. Ross)
It's so nice to have Moncada in the lineup today after thinking we might be missing him for a week+ yesterday - Tim Anderson to be suspended 1 game for... language?
