  1. There's just no way that the Sox have come this far and tried this hard to suddenly decide they aren't offering more than $X. It's possible they've had a number that they won't cross from the start, but there's pretty much no chance that the number is 200 because they wouldn't even be a true contender in that event.
  2. I interpreted your response to Rowand as implying that the relevant info was somehow less reliable than what has come out since but I understand now.
  3. You were making a joke that you think people only trust the positive news and distrust the negative news (a joke I disagree with because I see it more the other way around, but that's beside the point). The positive news came from Bucket, raBBit, and WSD. The negative news came from Nightengale and Levine. That's where I'm coming from
  4. You trust Bob Nightengale and Bruce Levine more than Bucket, raBBit, and WSD?
  5. @ChiliIrishHammock24 remember when you were asking where you remembered that guy from, the one who tweeted Manny to the Sox? This was over a week before the signing, and before anyone even knew we were in on catchers/Castillo. He even nailed the terms. This is what he tweeted tonight. He has probably gotten stuff wrong before, but he nailed Castillo a week early so he at least has some semblance of a track record. ?
  6. Another day, probably
  7. I'd love for someone to interview Hahn/KW/Reinsdorf after the process is over and have them go in depth on what was going on each week, how often they were actually talking to the players/agents, etc. but I know it's unlikely
  8. If that’s the case, then the 6,000 reply thread will always be the longest because anything that would surpass it (such as this saga) would get chopped up into multiple threads
  9. Are we not counting the previous 84 and 70 page Machado threads from the last few weeks?
  10. The only thing I would advise against is hinting that you have inside information and then not posting anything
  11. Because of this maybe
  12. By posts or pages? I ask because I think pages are significantly longer since the migration
  13. If that's true, you should call the sales reps and inform them of that (if you haven't yet). I heard they've been unusually inquisitive this offseason.
  14. -Michael Scott -Lauri Markkanen
  15. By then, you hopefully won't be needing one!
  16. This is interesting
  17. What, the days of Dan Clark and Facebook sources weren't interesting to you???
  18. With all these new leaks, I would keep Bucket's post from yesterday in the back of my mind.
  19. That might not be a bad thing. Also, raBBit tweeted positively about it the other day. If the Phillies get Machado, I think we get Harper. If we get Machado, I think the Phillies get Harper. I don't see either team getting outbid twice.
  20. I meant on the tweet itself
  21. I love how all the replies are people who find it funny, and then there's Peavy44 taking it literally and getting angry
  22. I can see this happening too
  23. Random Reddit rumor saying Machado to White Sox will be confirmed tomorrow
  24. Is Theo Epstein really a great judge of someone's character...?
