  1. It's a nice fluff article but Heyman absolutely was referring to the Cubs.
  2. I think people see the word "bust" thrown around so much that they no longer know what it means.
  3. This was not a good game for Trubisky and we still put up 31 points against a team that was getting pretty good pressure on him. The offense has only gotten better. I believe the defense will improve once Mack gets healthy and the weather worsens
  4. That defense got torched by the Buffalo Bills and just lost their star corner
  5. Not sure why Mack and Floyd are being dropped into coverage so much. If Mack is too injured to rush then we should put an actual coverage LB out there.
  6. Agreed with the Hoiberg/Parker comments. At least Zach looked good again.
  7. I think the entire NBA forgot how to play defense. Jesus. Some of these final scores are outrageous
  8. I see we've reached the point in the rebuild where people a.) forget why we're rebuilding or b.) don't realize we're rebuilding
  9. Can you provide any statistical evidence to refute it? I don't get the point of your question. It's immeasurable, but it should be pretty clear to any baseball fan that players are more expressive now than they ever have been. edit- Now I realize you may have been joking about the title of the article, but unsure
  10. LaVine's defense wasn't even bad tonight. Parker's, on the other hand... good lord
  11. Yeah, given that we basically know who the champion is already, my goal is to be entertained. Lots of young talented teams like Denver that should at least be fun to watch.
  12. They're probably a playoff team though. That offense is legit. Between Jokic, Murray, Harris, Barton, and Millsap, they have 5 guys who have the ability to be efficient 20 PPG scorers on less crowded teams.
  13. Dunn (personal), Valentine, and Markkanen out. This should be fun!
  14. Sort of unrelated I think they need to alter the minor league nutrition plans too. Before Luis Robert got here, he had a remarkably healthy diet. Then he got to Kannapolis and found out that all players were able to eat was Domino's pizza, McDonald's, or greasy ballpark food. Now from his social media it appears that he still primarily eats that stuff.
  15. Actually feeling decent about the team going forward. I'm not worried about the defense, I don't think that the weather effect yesterday can be emphasized enough, especially because they didn't implode until the 3rd quarter. But the offense is showing a lot of promise and that's really what we needed to see, since we have a lot of reasons to believe that the defense is good or even great. I love Nagy's playcalling, when it's not overtime that is
  16. I don't think that many people are as aware of his ineptitude as you think
  17. There's just no way you could form that opinion based on the games you've watched this season. I don't care what happened in the 90s, or 2008, or even 2016, this is basically a brand new staff and roster and none of those data points should matter. The team that has taken the field, recency bias aside, is clearly a good football team that doesn't "suck".
  18. If you're gonna constantly share opinions that can easily be outed as biased or nonsense, there should be a reasonable expectation that you'll receive backlash.
  19. Are you implying that you're no longer excited because of today's game, or am I reading too much into your use of past tense?
  20. I agree that he's been good overall. Hell, he's been great overall as a playcaller. But late against Green Bay and in OT against Miami, he throws it all away and plays how "conventional" coaches would. I want to see him break out of that.
  21. https://theathletic.com/589251/2018/10/14/with-a-win-in-his-sights-matt-nagy-opts-to-play-it-safe-and-the-bears-wind-up-losing/ This perfectly encapsulates my thoughts on today's game
