  1. QUOTE (raBBit @ Sep 22, 2015 -> 04:33 PM) Maybe Fulmer-Plouffe is a little light on the Sox end but Plouffe hits 20 HR/year in Minnesota and has taken big strides forward on defense. Yeah, Plouffe is a good player, there's no denying that. He could be a good fit here as our 3B. But I wouldn't trade Fulmer for him.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 22, 2015 -> 04:19 PM) I will say this much. The pending free agent who best fits the White Sox needs right now is a guy that hasn't been talked about at all. That name is Matt Wieters. His health issues concern me.
  3. Yeah, I don't think Fulmer for Plouffe is fair to the Sox. I also think Quintana is worth a little more than Swihart/Marrero/Kelly. He's a #1/#2 starter on a cheap contract. His value is more than just Swihart and a couple throw-ins. I know Swihart is a top-20 MLB prospect, and he's a good centerpiece for Quintana, but I think Boston would have to throw in another top-100 guy or two.
  4. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Sep 22, 2015 -> 12:25 PM) So Garcia is quickly reaching bust status but the guy who's older than him, put up inferior numbers than him in the minors and has had nothing more than a cup of coffee in the Majors isn't? How does that work? This love affair with Trayce Thompson is getting a little ridiculous. At the beginning of this year the consensus was pretty much he could be a 4th outfielder at best. Now all of the sudden some act like he's the next Mike Trout or something. I agree that Thompson is being overhyped. However Garcia is more of a "bust" (too early but whatever) right now because he was actually a top prospect, while Thompson was never really a highly touted prospect.
  5. Interesting question. I think one may be traded this offseason.
  6. I'm not saying Viciedo is amazing or LaRoche has had a s*** career. Once again, my point is that I think if they were given the same amount of 2016 DH at-bats, Viciedo would be the better hitter.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 22, 2015 -> 08:54 AM) Wait, Dayan Viciedo has prove he can hit at the major league level, but Adam LaRoche hasn't? You can't be serious. I never said LaRoche hasn't. But next year I think LaRoche will be just as bad, if not worse, than this year.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 22, 2015 -> 10:33 AM) Chris Emma ‏@CEmma670 21m21 minutes ago Expect the Bears to elevate David Fales to the roster. Ryan Pace will likely look at free-agent QBs, too, none of whom are named Tim Tebow. thank god
  9. Hawks preseason opener is tonight. Kane is expected to play.
  10. He has at least proven that he can hit at the MLB level. I'd take him hitting .235 with 25 homers (or whatever his 2014 numbers were) at DH over LaRoche's .205 with 12 homers any day. I am not advocating that he start in a non-DH position nor do I think he's a good player. I just think he would produce better than LaRoche in 2016 at DH.
  11. QUOTE (kev211 @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 10:52 PM) Hahaha I'm dying laughing. Think of all the sox, bears, and Illini fans here. But then think of how many of those people are also Bulls/Blackhawks fans.
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 10:44 PM) I think Melky's a flop cause of his production. Few homers, not enough RBIs. As of now, Melky has the exact same amount of RBIs he had in 2014.
  13. I know the Colts are sucking right now but you have a top-5 QB and you'll rebound.
  14. With tonight's win, the Sox now have 9,000 all-time wins.
  15. Honestly, I think Fales is better than Clausen.
  16. I too like Kasich. I think he would make the best President out of the Republicans. Or maybe Jeb. It's close.
  17. QUOTE (raBBit @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 03:16 PM) Which one? Joe. I don't really know him. I just have heard of him/know he's a Sox fan.
