  1. Hawks beat the Warriors
  2. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 6, 2015 -> 04:02 PM) Serious question from a casual NBA observer. How is Atlanta so good? I look over their roster and it doesn't seem special at all. What am I missing? Team chemistry, I guess. They're basically a bunch of good role players.
  3. Compare the predictions so far to last year's: http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=90943
  4. I'd say .332/31/128. I expect many more RBI chances with this new lineup.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 6, 2015 -> 01:39 PM) If you've got time to watch a video, I strongly, strongly suggest watching this. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/body/vaccines...ling-shots.html It will not only set you up with the good done by vaccines but it will give you a very good introduction to the counterpoints and how the science actually deals with them. "Yes this person got sick right after having the vaccine, but the vaccine set off a condition that is genetic and would have been triggered by something else had it not been the vaccine - in fact, that's why some people can't be vaccinated." "Yes, people did get polio from the vaccine for a time, but they switched vaccine formats based on the science to eliminate that". "Here's the basics of what we actually know about autism". ETc. That's a good link, thank you
  6. At least this thread has taught me some new words that begin with an x.
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 6, 2015 -> 12:28 PM) Sometimes players can't do something. Yes, but any NBA player should be able to pass out of a double team. Hell, any middle school player should be able to as well.
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 6, 2015 -> 11:58 AM) Exactly, I havent picked it back up because Im just stuck. Its stupid. I only do the main missions that are required for progress. Have you already beaten the game, or are you just trying to do every mission?
  9. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 6, 2015 -> 10:52 AM) The refutation of Andrew Wakefield's work is a good place to start. He was instrumental in the early "vaccines cause autism" crap. Right, my teacher told me I should look him up. This is a good tip as well, thanks
  10. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 6, 2015 -> 11:14 AM) If Taj passed once he gets double teamed in the post, that'd help. This. I feel like this has been a huge problem that not many people have been realizing/discussing.
  11. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Feb 6, 2015 -> 10:39 AM) Good luck. You've got the difficult side because BS is 100 times harder to refute than to spew. I'd expect your opponents to cite obscure, badly performed studies showing autism-vaccine links and unless you're familiar with those studies, you won't know their particular methodological problems. Perhaps point out the Autism Omnibus Proceedings, where a huge group of people claiming their children got autism from MMR vaccine, were asked to provide their 3 best cases proving a causal link. They lost the trial, badly. Also, keep hammering vaccine success stories like smallpox eradication, the downfall of polio, and huge drops in incidence for HiB, pertussis, measles, etc. Thanks, that's a good tip. I'll use that
  12. I'm doing a pro-con speech in my high school english class on vaccinations. Any suggestions? My stance will be pro-vaccinations and I have to refute all of the autism concerns
  13. Bulls are actively shopping Taj Gibson

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 5, 2015 -> 07:52 PM) Of course. Just a mindless show It's really popular in my area, I've been watching since season four but suddenly it's everyone's favorite show. It is mindless, but entertaining
  15. Jose Abreu replied to LDF's topic in SLaM
Maybe this is more of a younger-person show, but does anyone here watch The League?
  16. Atlanta beating Washington by 11 with about 90 seconds left.
  17. If Rose wasn't fouled, neither was Ariza...
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 4, 2015 -> 04:12 PM) ESPN Stats & Info ‏@ESPNStatsInfo 8m8 minutes ago If Derrick Rose plays tonight for Bulls, it will be his 12th straight game played; first streak of 12 games for him since 2010-11 season 3 minutes from tip-off, it looks like he'll play.
  19. I can see him signing with Cleveland.
  20. The Bulls have reportedly checked in on Tobias Harris.
  21. QUOTE (Tex @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 08:12 PM) I'm not certain what a plummer is but if he is like a plumber, I agree. With electrical there is a circuit breaker. Maybe he meant this guy.
  22. http://espn.go.com/blog/sweetspot/post/_/i...sox-versus-cubs Your thoughts?

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 07:49 AM) Not sure how much snow Oak Brook got, but our office there was not closed today. Really? That's strange, I live near Oak Brook and they got just as much as the neighboring towns in which everything is closed.
