When Vaughn comes up he probably will never be platooned so I don't think Collins would weigh much on that, but if Collins can provide OBP and some power from the 1b position then I can see the Sox dangling Vaughn out there to look for a permanent fix for RF which right now is a pretty big hole in the org. Maybe one of the Gonzalez,Walker,Adolfo,Basabe breaks out but I don't think the Sox should bet on that considering their core is almost fully ready to compete in the bigs.

I agree with you, I actually think they might be more open to moving Vaughn for a young,controllable RF next season is Collins can show his adjustments are real and can play 1B and backup C passable.
