  1. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 13, 2016 -> 02:25 PM) So his qualifications of being a real MLB manager is 1 season of being fine with the Cubs. They may want to aim for higher than that. Renteria would be the interim and I'd be fine with that. I don't know what they'll do in the offseason. My guess is Sandy Alomar is next.
  2. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 13, 2016 -> 02:21 PM) How do you know this? He was a manager for 1 year. He was fine with the Cubs. The only reason they got rid of him is Joe Maddon.
  3. Ventura isn't a major league manager. At least with Renteria, we know that he is one. Won't always agree with any manager but knowing we have an actual manager will be great. A lot of its on the players and I understand that.
  4. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Jun 13, 2016 -> 12:25 PM) It makes me really unsure about what to root for in this series. The Sox to win, or to finally cut ties with Robin? Ugh, can't decide. I'm rooting for his firing. I know this team deep down just isn't very good, but they could take a page out of my Pens playbook (fire coach midseason and made some trades). This team is a few tweaks from being good. Personally, I'd sell anyone and everyone and stock up on young talent. Free agency sucks this offseason anyways so there's no upgrades unless you dumpster dive which this team can't do. So, keep losing boys because I want Robin's incompetent ass out the door.
  5. The stat I kept thinking about all postseason was shot blocking. It's a key to winning it all. Pens have the highest shots blocked per game in the Stanley Cup Finals now. Avg. 22.7 shots blocked per game. Simply amazing. Championship teams lay it out on the line. Pens did it well. Another thing I've heard is how the east was cake and the west was so tough. Pittsburgh showed that they belong. Sharks PP was 1/11 this series. Not enough credit will go to Letang and the defensive unit.
  6. What a postseason run. Really fun because I didn't anticipate honestly with a rookie goalie. Tremendous job even though he wasn't always tested. Their speed really gave every team problems. Pittsburgh was clearly the better team and beat. Happy to see Daley hoist the cup. Happy for Dupuis. Was one of my favorites. Happy for Kessel and glad he got going when it was needed most. Great effort from everyone and shot blocking was amazing.
  7. They won't make a change because they're gutless loyal cowards.
  8. Goddamn. I'm done with this team still until they rid themselves of Ventura and do some organizational cleaning. This is bulls***.
  9. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jun 11, 2016 -> 04:22 PM) When a team like Atlanta plays horribly, people say they suck. When a team with bigger names and a higher payroll like the Sox play horribly, people chalk it up to a rough stretch. No, they don't "look like" anything. They aren't good. That's all there is to it. Bingo
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 11, 2016 -> 03:52 PM) Serious question. After watching the game do you honestly think they care about winning series? These guys show up to get a paycheck. They have every reason to want to kick KC's ass and they look like the deadest team in America. They're just not good enough Greg. That's it. They also have a f***ing moron for a manager. It's a disaster and they don't care.
  11. They'll get shutdown by Ventura tomorrow for sure. This team is dreadful
  12. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jun 11, 2016 -> 03:42 PM) This team has a mental block in the division and it starts with the man in charge of these men. FIRE HIM NOW. Won't happen. This franchise is gutless.
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 11, 2016 -> 03:39 PM) At least I kept the volume downa nd don't have to hear KC's pathetic announcing crew mock the Sox. They suck therefore should be mocked. What a joke of an organization lately.
  14. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 11, 2016 -> 03:33 PM) That is total BS years of this nonsense............one game LMAO If they were still up 5 games then I'd agree but they're not.
  15. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 11, 2016 -> 03:29 PM) Jezuz Crist, it's one f***ing game No it's not! They've been s***ty for weeks and years actually.
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 11, 2016 -> 11:08 AM) I have a game worn Paulino I bought for $20. It is pretty large, but I had to get it since I was one of his biggest detractors. I wore it a couple of weeks ago, and a guy in a Dunn jersey told me he loved it. Everyone has replicas of the big names. I pay a fraction for an authentic and am the only guy in the park with a Paulino on. Savage
  17. QUOTE (Tony @ Jun 11, 2016 -> 11:00 AM) Piss off, I have an authentic, signed, 44 Anderson jersey. I have a fake Thome autographed lol it's so bad compared to the Q authentic.
  18. I'd have Coats in the outfield over Avi but whatever. Let's get another win boys. Blow them out to save the pen
  19. Engel really struggled at AA at first. They had to send him down to A for a regroup. It worked he's hitting better now, but if you think he'd come up to the bigs and hold his own you're crazy.
  20. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 11, 2016 -> 10:15 AM) I've got a game worn, green jersey from a St. Patrick's Day spring training game from.... Chris Snopek! The SS of the future! I bought a St. Party's day Beckham. It's put away. Also have an autographed Quentin as well. I had a huge man crush on Quentin.
