QUOTE (SoCalSox @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 04:23 PM) Sounds dumb but this is when we find out what type of team this really is. They got back to .500, well within striking distance at 3.5 games. Now they lose Jackson for 6 weeks & know they have no internal re-enforcement coming out of the pen w/ Petricka coming back for the year. June's schedule is pretty daunting & have a good amount of divisional games. They are finally losing players to injury. Every other team in the division has dealt with it already, so now it's time to see what the Sox can do with it. Can it get worse honestly? This is happening during a 6-20 stretch or whatever it is. I'd be more concerned if they were winning.

Zack Collins agrees to deal with White Sox

I'm very very very excited about this kid. Can't wait to get him into the system. -
QUOTE (SoCalSox @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 12:01 PM) With the past few moves, I think it's safe to say that everyone on this team including the coaching staff has been put on notice. I didn't believe that Ventura was in any danger of losing his job but after seeing them cut dead weight, I truly believe he is a bad series in KC away from being gone. It also feels like Rick Hahn is under a large amount of pressure to win this year. I hope so. There needs to be some pressure and accountability. This losing for so long is pathetic.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 11:51 AM) His huge weakness is he cannot recognize pitches, at all. I dont think he ever develops that. Is there way to have Avi work on that? That seems like something ya got or don't got.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 11:48 AM) I agree. Lawrie Ks too much for the two hole. He can run into a ball once in while in seems. When I was watching he was taking his BBs is why I had him in 2 hole. I do like Jacksons ABs at times he can work the count and see some pitches. Not sure what he's hitting or his slash because I haven't been watching. Now that Tim is up. I'm back in when I thought I'd just ignore the team

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 03:56 PM) Look at his trends, I posted in one of the other threads recently. His first AA stint, his walks were way up but wasn't hitting. Now he's striking out about the same, but walks way down, and hitting better. That tells me he was going Jared Mitchell - hesitant, instead of selective. In other words, mental. Needed a kick in the pants, got it. Thanks. I'm trying to understand all these trends and stats and what they mean.
-
I'd honestly send Avi to AAA to see if he can work on things. He doesn't have much value right now I guess.
-
QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 11:45 AM) I think you leave Jackson at 2 where he's been hitting well. I haven't been watching lately to keep me from being so frustrated. Has AJ been hitting in the 2 hole?

QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 11:40 AM) You give the front office points again for trying to correct their mistakes for sure but I'm confused as to what "the plan" now is. Seems kind of 'hit and miss' but that maybe because the options are still really limited. On the flip side though you all so start to wonder about what drove the decision makers to sign these players in the first place since they've been cut already. It's been an interesting year. Mark The plan is "on the fly." IMO

Eaton Lawrie Melky Abreu Frazier Avi Navarro Jackson Anderson f*** it that's how I'd make my lineup. Nothing else has worked well.
-
Well thanks Jimmy for helping the Sox get rid of LaRoche. I expect early struggles with Tim but I also expect him to get it going after he struggles early. It's how he was in AAA. Not sure about the other levels.
-
We're due for a hitting prospect to work out aren't we? Lol I just hope he's not rushed. Of course he could always be sent back down to AAA and that wouldn't be that bad.

Woooo!

@barstoolWSD If I was about 85% sure the info info I had yesterday on Rollins was correct, I'm now 99% sure. Rollins out, Tim Anderson in #WhiteSox
