What's the record for most homers in consecutive games? Edit: Long, Mattingly, and Griffey Jr. had 8 in a row? Damn -

QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 3, 2016 -> 07:35 PM) Q's pitch count is gonna force him out of the game pretty quickly. f***ing Boston.... They've always worked the counts well. Especially in the AL East it seems because they play such long games. Particularly between the Yanks and Sox. -
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 3, 2016 -> 07:02 PM) Go to the game thread when he dropped the throw from Frazier and Baltimore tied it up. 4/30 post #423 Nightingale was on CSN and said Lincecum really isn't a fit for the White Sox. He thinks he would be very unsuccessful in the AL. just read that because I didn't partake in the Gamethread much that night. Just silly in game frustration I'm sure.

Let's start this home stand off right! Hopefully they're recharged after the day off and kick some Red Sox ass -
Bittersweet like I said after Rabbit eluded to this, but it's time. Hope EJ can be decent.

I wouldn't be on board with with this guy. I don't like him at all because of his lying, cheating dbag ass.

John Danks should never start for the White Sox again

QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 2, 2016 -> 10:23 PM) I have a hard time getting too attached to players now. Used to be easier when I was younger. I just root for the laundry for the most part. Don't get me wrong I still have favorites and guys I like more than others but Danks was good, now he's not so it's easier for me to just cast him off. I'm still young enough to where I get attached to some. As I get older I'm definitely moving towards the symbol on the front rather than the name on the back. -
Royals shutout again...2-0

QUOTE (raBBit @ May 2, 2016 -> 09:48 PM) What would you say if you woke up and this thread title was a matter of fact? Would be bittersweet. I'm sick of Danks because he's ineffective, but I used to love him. It's time to try other guys. Danks will get lit up again if he goes against Boston. -
Pens being outplayed tonight for the most part but have had some lucky goals. f*** Ovi and I'll take it! 3-0 pens tonight. Murray has been spectacular

Trying to read up on Miami C Zack Collins. I like Collins at 10. Is that about where he'll land? I've seen some mocks say so and some not even going in the first round. What are y'alls thoughts on Collins? Sure would be nice to have a good left handed catching prospect with some big bat potential.

As a penguins fan, I love days off! Lol it's allowing me to watch this and not have to flip back and forth and not nearly have a heart attack like Saturday night.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ May 2, 2016 -> 11:38 AM) Until money is an object there are no bad contracts with them same as NY and Boston. At this point money is no object. It's finally catching up to the Yankees and the Sox are stuck with Fat Panda.

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ May 2, 2016 -> 04:25 PM) Remember when we were all worried about his arm? Amazing turnaround since that first week. For me, I wasn't necessarily worried, I was more curious because IIRC he had surgery. I figured it'd take time for him to get his arm going. Early on he was spiking throws. Now he's as advertised. His arm fits RF very well.

QUOTE (Dunt @ May 2, 2016 -> 12:23 PM) Maybe I'm crazy, but I think this month is a lot easier than April. Only series that have me concerned right now are Boson and @TEX. That stretch where we get MN, NYY, and HOU is time to get fat. Yup. Just keep winning series. We'll lose some sure, but those three teams suck right now. As Hawk says, "it's not who ya play but when you play them."

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 2, 2016 -> 11:51 AM) They are going to lose 4 or 5 in a row at some point and 8 out of 10. Just stay with the leaders of the division, and add some help. That is true, so having any sizable lead in the divison will surely help. They've done well so far. I'm not scared of anyone in the AL. Not saying we will roll over KC and others but this team has proven so far that it can hang with the best offenses and some good teams. KC is the important matchup for me. Time to show the kings of the division that were for real.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 2, 2016 -> 11:34 AM) Where is the Detroit free-falling idea coming from? They were, until the last five games...of course, facing Minnesota can help you get healthy in a hurry, but the Tigers still might end up being the 2nd best team in the division, if for no other reason than the additions of Zimmerman and Saltalamacchia to that core. Granted, the odds of Salty continuing to hit at the pace he's on, well, we said that about JD Martinez, too, but his career resurgence would be even more shocking if it went on for a full season. At any rate, as the Astros and even the Twins showed last season, one hot stretch of baseball can carry a team for most of the year...even if you're naturally an 84-85 win team (probably the real Sox talent level barring any additional moves), that hot start has allowed them to be in the conversation at 88-90 wins, and it's also helpful that nobody in the AL is running away and dominating. As of right now, the AL West is the toughest division, but a week ago, it was the Central. Don't think many were picking the Mariners over the Astros. The Tigers can hit surely but their pitching sucks (without looking at their stats). Their pen is shaky at best and their rotations is suspect. I don't see how Detroit is a threat at all. I could see the Tigers free falling.
