Did have written prediction, from October, that Montas and Micah package to LAD for Puig (before his latest incident). Wrong player but I was close with the idea. Glad we got Frazier and this was the package I was thinking all along. Just don't get it from the Reds standpoint.

For me it's Cespedes. We've had interest at the trade deadline and do now. I like his experience in AL and this division even though he's 2 years older. He's better defensively and is a better hitter. He also doesn't cost a pick and has the Cuban connection with Abreu so that would help with Abreu and chemistry (maybe it doesn't matter at all). I just like Cespedes better for this team.

LMAO at Greg. We didn't overpay especially since we don't have a great farm system to begin with. Worst thing we've done is trade farm system depth. Then you wana bring Alexei back? No. He's done. He's old. Time to move on. Not a negative thing I can say about this deal. Micah can't stay healthy and has issues defensively. Montas, while I liked him and excited about because he was a hidden gem in the Peavy deal, was expendable. We've upgraded offensively and defensively in the infield without moving Anderson, Fulmer, Rodon or Q. I'm tickled to death. I had a dream last night we signed Cespedes (I like him and keep the draft pick). Hope it happens although I've stated all along give me one of the OFers. We've upgraded the catching position offensively with a platoon. We have 3 top 50 picks in the draft as long as we don't give up one for one of these OFers. I'm ok with moving Trayce because Shuck quietly had a fine season for us. I bet half the fan base didn't know who he was before last July. Shuck will be the 4th OFer. Lineup has added some much needed pop from the infield. Now hearing Hahn saying "not satisfied" and "we shall see on spending on Upton or Cespedes." I'd be shocked if we didn't land one or at least make a hard run.

Farm systems are for trades for the most part. You keep your special guys.

This takes the CarGo deal away which is fine. It's Upton or Cespedes now. Really love the deal from our side.

Give me Cespedes behind Abreu and I'm psyched. Doesn't cost a pick and we replenish the farm next June

Not mad at all I'm stoked. Sucks to give up Montas. Trayce who knows what he'll be. Doesn't have a great track record. Micah can't stay healthy and has shaky defense. Hope Todd does well and is our 3B for years to come. If anyone b****es about this traded, then you'll b**** and moan no matter what.

MLBTR is a well known site that has their own ideas and doesn't take credit from reporters. I just use them for certain information. If ya got Mockery in your name then... However the mockery article did embed Kaplans tweet so they weren't taking credit.
