  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 04:11 PM) Not going to freak out if Upton goes elsewhere. Cespedes still makes the most sense due to the lack of pick attached to him. That's why I really like him but like I've said I'm good with any. Need one of them.
  2. Now a report is out saying they're not in on him. Lol mixed signal fest there in Nashville.
  3. QUOTE (raBBit @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 12:05 PM) Hahn has also talked about backloading contracts to make it easier on signing a big guy. I just don't see them moving LaRoche unless they take on half of his contract. They need to just get rid of him. Somehow make it happen. Eating money or whatever. Then move Melky to DH. Then go get another big bat. One of the OFers
  4. @jonmorosi Sources: #Angels and Justin Upton's representatives having ongoing conversations. @FOXSports
  5. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 12:46 PM) I want to actually see if we can develop a hitter so I would rather not trade the best chance we got I do too I was just saying if I'm giving up our top young hitter it's gota be for an impact bat
  6. QUOTE (shakes @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 12:31 PM) For Anderson? This is where the disconnect with prospect valuation comes in. Arenado is maybe a top five position player in the game and ascending. Anderson doesn't even get a discussion started. If I'm the Rockies I wouldn't trade him straight up for Sale. It would obviously be a big package for him.
  7. Phil Rogers on twittwr On MLB Network, Rick Hahn also mentions position change options at 3B. He's talking about Daniel Murphy. Very interesting. #WhiteSox
  8. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 10:08 AM) If the Sox big moves are predicated on LaRoche's salary being off the books, there will be no big moves. The White Sox know this. They have to. If you need a new laptop but have to sell your 2002 Dell desktop to afford it, you aren't getting a new laptop. Lol
  9. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 09:19 AM) "Miller was SIX AND SEVENTEEN last year. Why would we give up Baez for him?!" -A Cubs fan No, that's not a made-up quote. Man they have some dumbass fans
  10. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 01:47 AM) I win! Deal never made sense but since it was a beat writer I went with it
  11. @Joelsherman1: Being told there is no Shelby Miller-Javy Baez between #Braves and #Cubs, and that at this hour there is no deal close. Lol mods can delete this. Sorry guys. Thought it was legit
  12. @BNightengale: The #Cubs say no deal! I'm going to bed lol we'll see if it's true or not
  13. Per Cubs beat: Gordon Wittenmeyer @GDubCub: Source: Cubs close to deal for Shelby Miller. Braves would get Baez (after talks shifted from Soler). On my phone sorry for the link not posting Edit:Fixed
  14. You give me CarGo and Upton? Happy as a clown.
  15. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 7, 2015 -> 07:27 PM) Upton is 2 years younger then Cespedes (and not Cuban) and 3 years younger than Gordon. Big reason I'd want Upton over th latter two. You're getting his prime years. That's obviously especially true for Heyward. Agreed. I'm good with any of those. Just prefer Heyward due to his age and defense. We'll see how his bat is going into his prime years
  16. Agreed but we all know that it'd take a major haul like what's going on with Jose Fernandez of the Marlins.
  17. Jason hasn't hit his prime yet. He would make a lot of sense especially with our defensive deficiencies. He makes a ton of sense....throw info out that were in on Upton and then silently swoop in and sign Heyward.....then I wake up ya ya I know
  18. I'm quietly on the Heyward and Cespedes bandwagon...
  19. Meh, KW can't help himself. He wants to make a splash like last season. Watch.
  20. Some people will b**** to b****. If they wana sign Upton, then so be it. At least we're trying to improve and get an impact bat behind Abreu.
  21. I'm good with a thread each day. I'll be checking in to see if we're doing anything.
