  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 3, 2016 -> 01:55 PM) Love seeing the ball jump off Anderson's bat!! It sure is lively Sigh Frazier
  2. Good job Eaton. Now get him in Abreu. 2-1
  3. @chuckgarfein Dioner Navarro's career numbers: As DH: .308/.357/.423 As C: .251/.310/.374 Navarro says he likes to DH. Only has to focus on 1 thing. Bring up another catcher if he can hit well at DH and keep him there. Maybe that'd at least get his bat going and would take away his awful framing.
  4. Per Chris Broussard (whom I take with a grain of salt) Rondo wants to play for the Bulls and they're the front runners to sign him.
  5. Will be working again. Go Sox! 4 series wins in a row with the win today.
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 3, 2016 -> 04:08 AM) The Andre Dawson 1987 Theory. Cy Young, yes. MVP, no. This. He's not the MVP. His numbers would have to be a lot more dominant. Tough for a pitcher to win.
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 3, 2016 -> 04:19 AM) http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?sid=m...itting/2016/ALL May "only" has a career minor league OPS line of 715. That translates to what, 625-650 at best at the MLB level? He needs more at-bats, and right now he profiles more as a 4th outfielder unless his defense is equal or better than Thompson's. 2015=661 2016=657 So, with those two higher level numbers in mind, you're talking lucky to hold a 600 OPS. That just won't work. At a minimum, you'd like that number to be 725-750ish if not higher. Didn't realize he played at the now-famous Coastal Carolina. I understand that but he couldn't be worse than Coats and is a better defender. Plus would give him a quick taste oh the majors.
  8. Fairly uneventful for the Bulls so far. I'm ok with it considering I don't want them to sign washed up vets or role players to gigantic contracts.
  9. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 11:51 PM) If all things go well May will be starting in CF next year or is a 4th OF. I would rather him still develop and not sit the bench, he has a higher ceiling then Coats IMO I'm fine with that also. I'd like to see him up and take Avi's spot. At least he'd get ABs and plays the outfield competently.
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 16, 2016 -> 07:46 PM) Saad - Ladd - Sharp Teuvo - Frolik - Brouwer Bolland Byfuglien - Leddy Oduya - Campbell That's the start of a playoff team right there, thanks salary cap! Happens in sports. It sucks but price ya pay for winning. I'd take it all day everyday. I have seen the Pens win two cups and wouldn't trade it (unless I could trade them for a Chiefs Super Bowl ). In the NFL, the Ravens had their team ripped apart twice IIRC, the Broncos this season lost some key players (as Bears fans, y'all know) as well. Take the championships and roll on boys. You saw three of them recently.
  11. QUOTE (BaseballNick @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 09:22 PM) http://mlbfarm.com/index.php?team=CWS&date=2016-07-02 Jacob May doubled twice for Charlotte. You'd have to think they're keeping a close eye on him with OF depth being so thin at the moment. Adolfo had a three hit night including a homer. Didn't May just come off the disabled list? I'm sure he's close to being called but shuck is playing well. He'll move back to the 4th OF role once Jackson comes back. Wouldn't mind seeing May instead of Coats right now.
  12. Just DH him. Hopefully he can be better than Avi and that upgrades that spot. If not, you can DH Melky and add an OF bat. The problem is this lineup needs another bat quickly. Hopefully they have a deal or two in the works for the bullpen and a bat. See how Morneau does first after the break.
  13. My boy Micker went 3-5 HR and 3 RBIs
  14. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 08:29 PM) I thought Petricka and Putnam were doing respectable work. Petricka seemed to have lost control and was wild which I thought he was hurt. Obviously was because he's now on the shelf. He usually is solid. I never really liked him past the 7th though. Putnam was alright but bad the last time he pitched due to his elbow issue (tendinitis?). There's two there. Disappointing that webb didn't work out. Hope Burdi comes along because that'd be a big addition in August (guessing that's about when they call him up) if this teams still in contention for the second wild card.
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 06:30 PM) Thankfully, Eaton's not being paid for his baserunning acumen. Lol that's part of his overaggressive base running at times. Love Eaton but today was frustrating.
  16. QUOTE (raBBit @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 07:11 PM) Seven solo homers. Does losing 1-0 count? I was at a party and missed those 7 solo HRs lol.
  17. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 26, 2016 -> 05:36 PM) The fact of the matter he made a great trade and a tremendous extension when it came to Eaton. Yes he did. I've been giving Hahn grief but he did that well. I for one, always try to give guys credit where it's due and will bash them when it's due. After all, they're paid to get it right.
  18. Any chance the sox go after any of the Red Sox international guys that were voided?
  19. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 06:16 PM) No I'm not. I'm just commenting on your statement of "wanting to after the big ones" and them being too cheap. They have been spending right up to the limit the last few years and haven't been cheap which I think is the right way to go. your're right though the 1 billion was a little over the top. I didn't really call them cheap. I called the As cheap. I know the Sox aren't cheap lol. Maybe it just seemed like I was inferring that but I honestly wasn't. I just wanted a big name young signee. Last one was Adolfo?
  20. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 04:25 PM) I'm sure you would like them to spend 1 billion on the MLB roster too. The last couple of years the have spent more than many teams and some of them are seeming to be progressing well. Oh please. I've never said that. I never pound the table for $200 million dollar players. You're just in an overreacting mode to my posts now.
  21. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 05:34 PM) Really? Why would Hinch pinch hit him against Robertson? Maybe it's the "he was due" philosophy. They said he was 0-14 on broadcast before he came up.
  22. Rasmus now 0-15 against Robertson? Damn
