There is so much wrong with that article.

The Sox were not drafting well until pretty recently. Saying the Sox never have any position players come up doesn't fly with me.

Semien and Noesi could easily each be 2 WAR players next year. The same next year the Sox are going All In on if they get Samardizja. Samardizja is probably about a 4 WAR guy himself. Then you add a prospect? I mean that could easily be a lateral move for 2015 and a loss after that.

Noesi is a much better bet than Masterson IMO. Swapping the two is a downgrade.

Dealing Noesi doesn't do much for us. You do upgrade that spot in the rotation A LOT, but now the Sox would have a major hole at the #5

You tell Beane to get lost if he wants Montas + Semien.

I would much rather move Micah Johnson than Semien. I'd probably even rather move Anderson (though ideally neither would be necessary).

I don't really like giving up Semien. If they can lock up Samardizja I'm ok though. We will regret losing Marcus, though.
