  1. Grifol is a genius pinch hitting with Perez. Now get that runner from third in, I’ll settle for a WP.
  2. Yeah but I won’t get on an airplane, we’d have to go back to train travel.
  3. No, Pate Phillip didn't want the White Sox in Addison.
  4. Cease doesn’t have much right now, get out of the inning and go to the bullpen.
  5. Actually it might be time for Colas to be called up, he’s been hot lately, had 2 homers last night.
  6. I’m watching because I’m a White Sox fan and want to see them win every game they play. 71 years of this and I can’t change.
  7. That would work, they could do the opposite of Oriole park with just the UD in right field and single deck in left field. Progressive Field is triple decked in right field and bleachers in left field but they have that huge scoreboard that blocks the view, the Sox would need to keep the scoreboard in centerfield.
  8. Unbelievable, this guy is in over his head.
  9. I was at game 2 of the 59 WS and still have nightmares with Lollar trying to to score, that was 3B Coach Tony Cucinello’s fault especially with no outs and Lollar the tying run. If we would have won that game I would bet we would have won the Series, of course IF is the largest world in the dictionary.
  10. You never saw Sherm Lollar who was a great catcher and a damn good hitter but by far the slowest MLB player I’ve seen in 71 years as a White Sox and MLB fan. I’m pretty sure that AV is faster than Grandal. .
  11. Imagine what it was like before the lop off of 8 rows, just read my earlier post when we sat in row 29 back in 1993.
  12. Guards are losing big to the Flubs 10-0 in the 7th.
  13. He also could have eliminated the Club Level seats.
  14. Looking back the original ballpark was an ugly concrete monstrosity with a steep upper deck with 29 rows which you entered the UD at row 1. We sat in row 29 at the 1993 division clincher and after climbing the 29 rows we found our seats and we never left them until the game was over, we felt like we needed seat belts. On top of the ugliness some genius decided to fill the park with powder blue seats. At least the Sox braintrust saw the errors of their ways and in 2004 started almost a complete makeover of the place starting with lopping off 8 rows of the upper deck and replacing the blue seats with the green seats we have now. Other cosmetic changes were made down through the years and the place even though nothing could be done with the steep upper deck is now a very nice place to watch a game. I check the ratings of the ballparks every year and Sox Park moves up a bit step by step in the rankings where it’s not at the bottom anymore with the likes of the Trop and the Oakland Mausoleum.
