I’m close as I’m almost 78, love the Sox but not at a 9:38 starting time for us Floridians.

Didn’t watch the game, my bad on thinking Ohtani pitched, makes things worse he’s pitching Tuesday night.

We just can’t get on a roll, corpseball again, they need to win at least 2 of the next 3 against LLA and then somehow sweep the A’s.

Someone will take a chance thinking they can fix him but we won’t get much except a salary dump.

I just hope we don't have to go through a complete rebuild again. One part of me says to keep Gio, he’s been damn good as of late, I guess it all depends what we can get for him. The thing to remember is that we are in a crappy division and it wouldn’t take a whole lot to win the division as early as next year, maybe even this year if we get hot.

4-3 would be pretty good. The A’s ran off 7 in a row in mid June but are 1-10 since then so I hope we can sweep them, if so then I think we can go 5-2 on the trip.

If TA thinks he is the most misunderstood player in MLB, it’s no one’s fault but his own. His Jackie Robinson comparison was a joke as his being the best player on the field, I wonder what Luis Robert thinks about that. If the rumors of dissension on the team are true and I think they are, we don’t have to look any further than TA as the culprit, this guy needs to go away and become some other team’s problem.

17 Ks Friday but managed to win the game.

Super series win with Robert leading the way along with some great pitching, love beating the hated Red Sox. These guys dug themselves a hole in April and have had some gut wrenching losses in the last 2 weeks but I’ll give them credit, they haven’t quit.

How does that happen unless someone punched him in the kisser.

Chet Lemon could have been but just didn’t have the power, he did hit more homers when we traded him to Detroit, the difference in Comiskey and Tiger Stadium was probably why. Defensively, Jim Landis is still the best with his 5 Gold Gloves. When you add everything up, Robert if he stays healthy could wind up being the best all around centerfielder in Sox history.

A lot of them aren’t smart either.

No problem with that figure but I’d like to know how and where the supposedly 55,555 fit and sat in old Comiskey on that May 1973 Bat Day.

I attended the 1964 SOX-CUBS game and it was by far the largest crowd I ever saw at old Comiskey. My girlfriend and I had to sit in an aisle in the upper deck down the right field line, there was nowhere for venders to sell their goodies except in the lower and upper deck walkways that separated the box seats from the grandstand seats. I still contend it was larger than the 55,000 that supposedly showed up on Bat Day in May of 1973, that was a big crowd that day but not as big as 1964 as fans were standing on the warning track from dead center field to the right field foul pole. To say they oversold the ballpark is putting it mildly.

With the 4 homers today, they are probably over league average.
