  1. 2 nice wins in a row, it’s time to get on an extended roll and get back in contention in a weak division.
  2. TLR was wrong to the nth degree, a real jerk on that issue and shouldn’t have been managing the team in the first place.
  3. Bad memories of Claudell Washington, my least favorite White Sox player ever though there is a guy on the current team that is coming close.
  4. Nellie Fox, Dick Allen, Frank Thomas and Paul Konerko.
  5. The more I looked at the video it seemed there was one more word than we thought what was said, what it was I don’t know. Either way there is no doubt that TA has an attitude problem and I’m pretty sure his teammates have a problem with him.
  6. Some excellent points, as you mentioned about the All Star game announcement, the silence that followed was deafening and told us there is a problem that teammates have with TA.
  7. What more can we say that hasn’t been said, we are in for a long long summer.
  8. Yep, we’re playing for second place.
  9. Only 15 homers last year told us a lot.
  10. Didn’t know that, thanks. I remember back in the 50s some cities like Philadelphia and Baltimore had Blue or Sunday laws where games couldn’t start before 1PM. Also many cities had curfews where an inning couldn’t start after 1AM.
  11. Guards beat the Angels today but what’s strange is the game started at 11:35, anyone know why.
  12. There’s not much player wise Veeck could do in this day and age that he could back when he was owner, too many long term big dollar contracts.
  13. There’s a big difference between AAA and the Majors, look at Sosa. Colas impressed no one in his time with the Sox so I’d give him to mid season to see if he’s learned anything down on the farm and is ready for the Majors. The thing that has me really concerned is who exactly do we have in the Minors teaching our prospects based on JRs past statements about not wanting to spend big bucks on the farm system.
  14. Nice to see a win but who can get excited, even the worse teams win 1 out of every three. If these guys ever go on a extended winning streak or a great stretch where they win 15 out of 20 I’ll get excited but I’m not hold my breath with this bunch.
  15. Burger is at .924 but hasn’t played as much as Robert. With Moncada back Burger when he returns has to be the primary DH with some platooning from Sheets, at least until Yoan winds up on the IL again.
  16. I agree with you, I hated the Cubs with a passion most of my life but if I still lived in the Chicago area and the Sox left town I would probably become a Cub fan, it’s not like you’re becoming a traitor as it still says Chicago on their road uniforms. I guess I’ve mellowed a bit in my later years. I was Cardinal fan when they were in Chicago and playing in Comiskey Park but when they left for St. Louis in 1960 it wasn’t hard to become a Bears fan, of course I didn’t hate the Bears like I did the Cubs.
  17. Since I live in Florida and have no ties to Chicago anymore I guess it wouldn’t mean that much but the Sox have been in my DNA for 71 years. I would keep remembering the good years like the GO GO SOX years, 1972, 1977, 1983, 2005 and a few more years. I have a lot of memorabilia and videos that I will continue to pull out once in awhile. When I look back to the track record of the franchise, there has been way more headaches, sleepless nights and heartache that we as fans didn’t deserve. The Rays will be my favorite team but they will never replace the White Sox in my heart. Bottom line is I hope they don’t move because of the loyal fans that live in the Chicago area, you guys deserve new ownership and much better times.
  18. This is beyond embarrassing, It’s getting so bad I’m ready for them to bring back Ozzie, I was so happy when he left but maybe he could light a fire with this bunch of Mickey the mopes.
