I think this is on the scouting/players. Sox need to completely rethink their entire front office set up. I will give Shirley credit for Montgomery. He seems to have a good handle on the strike zone. Also, Tatum knows how to give a good at bat, otherwise the Sox minors are loaded with guys who swing at everything too.

Talking about Boyd. I'll readily acknowledge everyone on the Sox is limited in approach/launch angle. No pitcher is aiming to give up 98 off the bat.

Both McDougal and Dalquist are done. McDougal pitched 4, Dalquist threw another inning and ended 5IP 2H 0R 0ER 1bb 7K. Certainly his best outing of the year. He was 92 with the fastball, two good breaking balls and he filled the zone.
