  1. QUOTE (fathom @ May 7, 2015 -> 02:28 PM) Really would have been nice if they could have cashed him in this offseason I mean he tends to improve when it warms up, right? I'm not ready to pour dirt on him yet, but when he plays badly he is the most frustrating player to watch, no exceptions.
  2. I mean he just has no idea what he's doing. FFS.
  3. Alexei came into this game with -0.75 WPA. The worst WPA in all of 2014 was Jackie Bradley, Jr with -4.0 in nearly 130 games. Alexei has been a rally serial killer.
  4. Cash this in, dad gummit. And raBBit, yes, both teams did both score in the first Tuesday. Not sure what that means for all the totals I posted but they're probably slightly off.
  5. Now that the first inning is in the books, here are the fruits of my research: Sox opponents have scored in 10 out of 25 first innings. The Sox have scored in 4. In no game have both teams scored in the first. Sox opponents are outscoring them 19-6 in the first inning.
  6. QUOTE (raBBit @ May 7, 2015 -> 11:13 AM) Agreed. The Sox are 8-3 at home this year but 0-3 when I am in attendance. I am going to the game today. You're horrible.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 7, 2015 -> 09:49 AM) Phil Rogers ‏@philgrogers 21m21 minutes ago Victor Martinez's 33.08-second circling of the bases was the slowest of 2015, almost 3 seconds more than Big Papi's 30.13 on April 10. V-Mart's 33.08 is the 4th slowest in 5 years TaterTrotTracker has been keepingtimes. 2 of the 3 slower were by players injured during trot. There was another related tweet that mentioned McGwire's trot on his 62nd homer in 1998 - during which he stopped to hug people - was still quicker than VMart's.
  8. If Alexei goes up there hacking I'm gonna rage so hard.
  9. Boy, Simon just looks like he's havin' fun out there. Nice work Avi.
  10. QUOTE (flavum @ May 6, 2015 -> 07:52 PM) Big rib out there, Adam. Make it your first. Tough luck.
  11. Simon is meat tonight and I'd love to see the results reflect it.
  12. Pitch f/x says Sale is using his slider about 9% of the time which is half last year's rate.
  13. Simon isn't locating his splitter. Gotta be able to hit him.
  14. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ May 6, 2015 -> 07:14 PM) Put Miggy on I agree, even with Binoculars on deck.
  15. Not sure how Ump is calling some of these pitches balls.
  16. Thank you, TNT, for the super slo-mo of LeBron traveling before that dunk.
  17. I HAVE TICKETS ON SUNDAY SO THAT'S PERFECT.
  18. Yeah if they're gonna shoot like this, good night.
  19. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 6, 2015 -> 02:19 PM) Who in the AL Central would you rather have been a fan of the last 10 years? QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 6, 2015 -> 02:20 PM) Who in the AL Central would you rather have been a fan of the last 9 years? These questions shall replace humanity's standard "glass half full / half empty" analogy.
  20. QUOTE (flavum @ May 6, 2015 -> 01:54 PM) Tom Koehler can tell his grandchildren about the day he gave up three homers to Bryce Harper. And a slow hook leads to a 3-run homer by Stanton off Scherzer in the 8th and the Marlins getting right back in it. I have no idea why they left Scherzer in. He started the inning with 101 pitches, he's an asset they have to handle for the next 40 years or so... maybe just let your bullpen handle this one.
  21. QUOTE (LDF @ May 6, 2015 -> 01:28 PM) for this discussion only and at this time, i am going to flip my position. ok, what org is not going to have a black hole? this team has its share and much more of holes to address, what hole can be sacrifice, for the present to jump start this team. Not "the org has a black hole," the org is a black hole. From 2012 to now the Sox are 13th in the AL in OBP.
