  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 03:03 PM) Is that Bobby Molinaro or Bottles Blow-a-sav-io? It's Bottles Molisario man, it says right there.
  2. I will laugh my ass off if we tie this game up. Literally, it will fall off.
  3. That does it, just bean everyone they have.
  4. QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 02:53 PM) So who do we trade Jose Abreu and Chris Sale to? You know it's the Red Sox, why even ask?
  5. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 02:49 PM) Look at the bright side: many of you in the Chicago area may get taken out by a tornado before being subjected to the finish of this game. This made me laugh way harder than it should have.
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 02:45 PM) Embarrassing or LOL however you want to look at it. KC is now 16-6 vs. Chicago over the last 22 games. Nice. I hope LaRoche goes ballistic in the clubhouse after this game. I hope he shaves.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 02:41 PM) I feel like balta from previous years when I say that I feel the performance in Spring Training the last few weeks of camp foreshadowed a slow start to the season. I don't necessarily blame Ventura for this, but when a diehard fan like myself turns off games in Spring Training because they were unwatchable, then something weird was going on with the team. Then you aren't balta enough.
  8. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 02:41 PM) Does anyone think we are going to score now? Nah, not really. C'mon Johnny, at least get out of this inning with just the 1 and give us something to feel good about.
  9. I'm just gonna go live in the woods every time we play KC from now on.
  10. All the talk of Center Field Shaky Cam had me glad I couldn't watch this game but now I'm sad. =( John Danks, Miracle Worker though.
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 02:24 PM) Why were all the experts not realizing the Sox still have lousy defense, no speed, iffy bullpen and hitters who don't walk? I don't get it. The offseason talk was DOMINATION. The experts generally have the Sox around 80 wins.
  12. When Alexei is going bad his approach is tough to stomach.
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 02:09 PM) I think it's all mumbo jumbo. Yost obviously is high on Moustakas and gets a kick out of angering KC fans who hate Moose. Man, hitting good players higher in the lineup and bad ones lower is not mumbo jumbo. It's the simplest thing.
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 02:03 PM) I've been told women don't dig beards any more. Shave it. You really hate LaRoche's beard.
  15. "Eaton flied out to center." "Cabrera flied out to center." Maybe stop hitting it to center.
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 01:53 PM) At least Yost gave us the out for Escobar. The way he's hitting, why not actually let him hit? Because Yost is a robot programmed to give bunt signs.
  17. QUOTE (Condor13 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 01:50 PM) There is another stupid waste pitch above the neck LOL now it's gonna be a pet peeve of mine too.
  18. Feels like the first 1-2-3 inning we've had all series.
  19. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 01:37 PM) Is it just adrenaline or is Danks actually going to throw harder this year? Haven't there been reports that KC's radar gun is a little hot though?
  20. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 01:30 PM) lol he was going there. I understand there's a different mentality when hitting second, but if anything, the idea of the 2-hole hitter being somebody to move runners over is getting phased out in baseball. More and more teams are putting some of their best hitters in that spot. And it's not to move runners over to third. Right. The Mike Moustakas of last year is the last guy you want hitting 2nd. Now if his OPS hangs up above 1.500 then he's a great choice.
  21. Well Yost got what he wanted. Doubt that 1 will hold up but we'll see.
  22. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 01:26 PM) Ned Yost bunting in the first inning...classic. Accompanied, I'm guessing, by Hawk explaining Moustakas will have the best year of his career as long as he hits second because he'll have things to do and something something.
  23. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 01:22 PM) So we're going to have one example to hold onto....the wildly-improbable "Winning Ugly" season. 7 games behind in the standings at 25-30 on June 10th. Went on a 21-12 streak to get to 46-42 and first place on July 18th. Finished 99-63 (same as 2005), on a 53-21 stretch, or, to extend it even further, 74-33. Dude seriously, 0-3 means nothing.
  24. You know if I wasn't so pumped for Danks v. Volquez later, I'd say that Matt Harvey v. Stephen Strasburg was the best matchup of the day.
