Final 25 man roster will be announced Th 4/2

QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 1, 2015 -> 02:10 PM) That kinda pisses me off actually. If you look at their batted ball data from the 2nd half only one of those guys looks like a legit MLB starter -- and it's not John Danks. Whatever as long as they don't start skipping Noesi's turn in the rotation instead of Danks' (if they have such an opportunity during the season) it won't have any impact. Not sure what you're mad at - they're not skipping Noesi or Danks. Effectively they're skipping Carroll/Penny/whoever and using the off day to push Shark's turn forward. -

White Sox with 6th highest odds to win World Series

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 1, 2015 -> 01:17 PM) To be frank, that sounds like a stupid bet. The Cubs at 6:1? Yeah, it's incredibly stupid. -

Went straight for Crede because I noticed in a promo for the 2005 anniversary stuff that he was losing his hair and I wanted to help him out. -

Soto says no soup for you again.

If Abreu's gonna go hitting .519 this year, I have to revise my win total prediction.
-
Rodon actually came on for one more hitter and got him to fly out. Now Drabek's turn.
-
That should do it for Rodon. 5 IP, 4 H, 2 BB, 2 K, 1 R. Mostly kept the slider in his pocket. That was fun. =)

DIRTY SLIDER ALERT to fan Crawford.

QUOTE (shysocks @ Mar 31, 2015 -> 04:14 PM) Push has a hose. Hey auto correct. That's Puig, not Push.

Push has a hose.

Avi is making a specific effort to go the opposite way today. Hawk, stop saying we have a great defensive outfield and please don't start calling Courtney Hawkins "Hawk."
-
Soto easily guns down Rollins trying to take third. Today we aren't seeing the poor throwing arm folks have been talking about.
-
Abreu is bored.
-
Rodon plunks Ethier on the elbow on 2-2. For all the stuff, he's somewhat fortunate when the ball goes where he wants it to.
-
Gas upstairs. 1 K.
-
A few nice soft grounders forced by Rodon in the first. Soto had Puig thrown out but he lifted his left arm and dodged the tag. Alexei should be aware of that trick, he pulls it all the time.

Dan Hayes @CSNHayes · 47s48 seconds ago J.B. Shuck has made the team as the fourth outfielder, according to Robin Ventura. #WhiteSox

Flowers leaves the yard to center. Almost got one out there yesterday too. Magic glasses.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 30, 2015 -> 12:01 PM) Those splits don't strike me as "relatively pronounced". That's actually pretty unpronounced for most relievers. Fine, semantics. Most relievers don't have reverse splits though, and a 46 point reverse split is notable. The point is it shouldn't be assumed he is your typical lefty reliever.

The official, Predict the 2015 White Sox record thread
shysocks replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
84-78. And just for the record, I picked the 73-win season exactly correct last year over at the whitesox.com boards. If I can get two years in a row somebody's gonna have to start paying me for this. -
QUOTE (raBBit @ Mar 30, 2015 -> 10:48 AM) I agree the ALW should be in the conversation. Mariners, Angels and Houston all looking up and it seems like the A's and Rangers are being overlooked. I disagree on Cleveland. I certainly will be picking them for ALC. They have plenty of great young arms, a great pitching coach and an innovative outlook on pitching in the FO. I think Kluber and Carrasco are legit and I'll take my chance on Callaway working with the stuff of Bauer and Santana (especially Bauer). The lineup isn't the sexiest but no RHP wants to go up against the row of LH bats they have. If they improve and play just decent defense, and Lindor in a few weeks/months should help, they could make some noise. Let me clarify on the Indians - I do think they are the favorites and that's why I even mentioned them. They're probably the most complete team in the division. Suddenly they're the trendy runaway pick, though, and I don't see them at quite that height. In particular it seems like people have been overrating their starting pitching lately. The top is great but I'm not a believer in Bauer specifically. Brantley is due to come back to Earth. There's a lot riding on Kipnis being a stud again.
