My memory might also be hazy, but I'm pretty sure both AJ and Pods didn't even get an AB's in the games they were voted in.... EDIT: I double checked: Pods was a defensive replacement in the 9th, No AB. AJ didn't get into the game at all...

So, Ozzie, if nothing is working, perhaps a change is in order?
-
I'm f***ing glad that Greg Walker is there at 8 am every day, I'm sure he and Pierre take turns picking up the donuts for everyone, but just because you're there early and work harder than everyone else doesn't make FAILURE disappear. In fact, it makes you look worse.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 03:17 PM) Let's see: Strasburg, Harper, both Zimmermans, Rendon and a bunch of other young legit talent or the Sox? Hmmmm. Not sure which way I'd lean? $$$$ haha That's the only way. Or maybe, previous ties to the organization? Wants to manage in the AL cause he knows it better? The Nationals want someone else?

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 02:45 PM) Don't scoop up Martinez or Cooper? Martinez. He's studied under one of the best managers in all of baseball for the last four years. I like that pedigree.
-
I'm firmly in the Dave Martinez for coach next season bandwagon. And I'd want Cooper as the pitching coach.. I'm hoping the Nats dont scoop him up first....
-
We all hope and pray Ozzie will be gone this off-season, I know on more than one occasion Ozzie has stated that when he goes his staff will go with him. Which is fine as well. But is there some way to get rid of Ozzie and his crew, but KEEP Don Cooper? It seems like Coop doesnt really have that loyalty to Guillen that say, Cora does. I remember Nardi Contreras. I can't deal with that s*** again. Cooper has done amazing in all his years here and unless Dave Duncan is his replacement on the new manager's staff, Cooper needs to stay.

At this point, I want a Twins 4 game sweep. Just to see what happens...how if any, justifications are made in keeping Walker/Not calling up Viciedo...
-
Saw that one coming from a mile away... Honest to God, Santiago pitching was the most excited I've been watching a Sox game in MONTHS...
-
How is every hitter on the Sox offense not on the DL with arm troubles? They've had to tip their caps sooo many times this season...
-
Oh this will be a long afternoon for the offense.... Haha Wow....

Well there's the one bad inning from a Sox starter... Lets see if that will be it. Of course Sox need to, ya know, respond at some point...

Hosmer rocking the modified Amish Douche Beard...

I know you're not supposed to do this with young players, but Ozzie is so f***ing stubborn and can't realize a swap of Pierre for Viciedo makes the team BETTER, but Viciedo can play Right. We know this. He also can play third (but not well...) And from last year and ST this year he can play 1st. Add to that the DH spot. That's FOUR different places where Viciedo can fit into the line-up. Ozzie could find a way to play him everyday like that, if he wanted to. It just becomes a matter of who you sacrifice on the bench to get Dayan up here. But again, this teams mix is so great right now, can't mess with success(?)

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 01:32 PM) 3rd highest wOBA among AL outfielders tied with fellow All Star Matt Joyce and behind All-Star starters Bautista and Granderson. He's also 6th overall in HR on the AL leaderboard and 4th among AL OF behind Granderson, Bautista and Nelson Cruz who's done nothing but hit HR this season. I'd say he deserved it. I'm just talking about his selection. I was pretty sure no one saw the Crede selection coming in '08, just like not a lot of people thought CQ was gonna get it this year. We all assumed Paulie for sure, maybe Humber and possibly Santos. CQ is fine, but recently, he's stunk up the joint...which makes the selection even more of a shocker. Ironically, he's been a pop up machine lately, just like Crede when he was off... On a side note, when Ron Washington hears wOBA, he probably just thinks it's the name of his cocaine dealer...

No one in the history of baseball has had to Tip Their Cap to Rodrigo Lopez....Until Today.
-
No offense to CQ, but his inclusion on the team is kinda like Crede's '08 selection. A head scratcher....
-
Tip your cap to Rodrigo Lopez... You could see this coming from a mile away. Struggling to reach .500 all season, and in the first attempt to get OVER .500 They fail...

The Tiger pitching staff has given up 51 runs in their last five games.

Thanks, FOX we in LA must all be Yankees/Mets fans. If it's a "regional" thing with your blackouts, why don't you choose to show the game in Chicago since it's a closer region to Los Angeles than New York? Why? Because your rules are idiotic and you know. f*** YOU FOX

New blog post about Hawk, "Moneyball," Sabermetrics, etc

Those 2001/2002 Oakland team's were RIDICULOUS. I thought for sure one of those would at least MAKE the Series and probably win, but in crunch time they choked. Kinda crazy cause they had Hudson, Mulder and Zito in their PRIME. Scary s***....
