  1. another brilliant move by Robin Putting in tuner was conceding the game.... God can't wait for both of them to go the eff away.
  2. Sorry Hawk... Millers slider is better than Sale's
  3. I love how Jose likes to take the first pitch right down the middle then flail at nearly every other pitch. It's a pretty genius process.
  4. QUOTE (captain54 @ Aug 17, 2016 -> 08:07 PM) If this manager had any stones he'd pull Abreu off of first. Immediately Wonder if he has the authority.... I'm not even kidding.
  5. Abreu no more 1b for you... This also has to be currently one of the worse bullpens I've seen in quite awhile.
  6. it's kind of comical... I'd rather have shuck pitch then albers... Why do they keep sending him out there.
  7. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 16, 2016 -> 07:09 PM) We have left four runners in scoring position in three innings Hey lefties... that cutter on the inside corner is likely to move back towards the middle. Let's not stare at it again for another called out strike 3 please.
  8. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 15, 2016 -> 07:28 PM) It certainly appears that Ventura has the respect of coaches, players and the front office. I Luke Robin and his style. I have never been a fan of those temper tantrum type managers What do we see that shows the players respect him? They have never really said much about him one way or the other (which is fitting to me). I honestly don't care about a managers style as long as they know how to push the right buttons... temper tantrums or non really isn't even what matters. It may not be much of Robin's fault.. but they have changed through a lot of players and gotten the same results. It's time to try another voice.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 14, 2016 -> 01:30 PM) Sale is such a headcase. Should have been covering home. Wow its time to grow up Chris.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 14, 2016 -> 01:28 PM) Maybe the most pathetic inning of Sale's career here. Oh where oh where did his fastball go His fastball has been hittable for while.. if his slider is working he is elite If his offspeed isn't that great he is average.
  11. Ain't happening Robin... Now with the current injuries Robin doesn't have a whole lot of options... nor to I question Robins strategy (usually) But the way the team plays, their mental edge, looseness and confidence has been bad since they couldn't score a run, and slid at the end of 2012 - it's lacking. It's always been that way. We've gotten many different players...but all the same results. It's time to see if another manager can stir something up.
  12. worst bases loaded offense to ever be assembled.
  13. fraizer has put his bat in play as much as the ball... Anderson needs to work on his speed to first.. for a guy of his speed he gets doubled up way to much on not that hard hit balls to the left side.
  14. well we won... nice job by the bull pen. The fact that we managed only 4 runs out of our countless opportunities is pretty much the backbone of this squad however.
  15. Abreu would swing at a paper airplane if you threw it up there.
  16. Pitcher has given up 78 baserunners in 4 innings but we have 3 runs.
  17. I like wimpy and Jason together.
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 12, 2016 -> 06:58 PM) Should have put this one away.... Those two at bats were pretty much the standard for this team the past few years. The guy has no control walks multiple hitters. He throws 2 strikes in 8 pitches to our power hitters and they get themselves out. Man it has to be hard to be manager/coach in that dugout.
  19. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 12, 2016 -> 06:53 PM) Comcast wants this Abreu moment so bad Yeah can they please stop showing his son who wasn't even paying attention to his father batting... that was mega annoying.
  20. nice job by Rodon to shut it down that inning.
  21. This teams inability to get a big hit is pretty hilarious. Whenever they have a chance to blow it open they fail.
  22. QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Aug 11, 2016 -> 10:37 PM) Additional stat: Sox have now scored three runs or less in 54 of 114 games played. 47%. Doesn't matter who they bring in, doesn't matter what team they come from, a culture of losing has now gripped this organization. Nothing changes until major changes are made on the baseball side of the front office and in the philosophy of the organization. Mark One of the trademarks of the Ventura era.... It may be silly of me to blame him but man it sure is the pattern.
  23. The only hope is that a new coaching staff somehow changes the culture and attitude... Different players... same coaches basically the last 4 years and some of the most tight arsed offensive production I've seen in a 4 year span.
