August 29th Game Thread: ChiSox at Detroit Tigers
This team has a serious allergy to any type of winning streak.... Someone will step up and *hit it down their leg at a key moment. They are great at doing that.

well the white sox season has for the most part been over for awhile.... But doesn't want to make the avg fan have a lot of mean thoughts about nate jones...

jones is okay.. not great. When he is your 2nd best reliever... you are going to lose some games late.

August 28th Game Thread: White Sox vs. Mariners
QUOTE (Scoots @ Aug 28, 2016 -> 03:43 PM) 3 games out of 4 from Seattle. Bring on Detroit. I sound like an idiot for saying this, but a very unlikely sweep against Detroit gets the Sox back in that 2nd wild card spot conversation. miracles happen I guess... But Shields and whoever else against the Detroit offense first two games... Like I said miracles...

8.27 game thread Sox vs Seattle STAR WARS NIGHT
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 27, 2016 -> 07:58 PM) How many times have we said this exact sentence I don't really ever remember Avi being selective....

8.27 game thread Sox vs Seattle STAR WARS NIGHT
Avi is being way more patient and driving the ball. If he can keep right where he has been for a while he can be solid.

August 26th Game Thread: White Sox vs. Seattle Mariners
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Aug 26, 2016 -> 09:57 PM) Please itemize what was gained for the Chicago White Sox in pitches 100-120. And yes, of course Sale CAN do it. But there is no point in doing it. And most DON"T do it every 5th or 6th day. We gained 3 innings of scoreless pitching with a pitcher who was clearly not tired, hurt or laboring. . He struck out like... 8 of the last 10 batters or something... Arbitrary pitch counts... are arbitrary

QUOTE (GreenSox @ Aug 26, 2016 -> 09:40 PM) ONly 120 pitches for Sale in this critical August series. Is anyone in the dugout or front office on planet earth? I guess you missed the part where Sale was striking out every thing that moved in the last 3 innings.

Jose Abreu
QUOTE (The Mighty Mite @ Aug 23, 2016 -> 09:04 PM) Good to see him coming around but where was he when we needed him? He really is so important to us winning and losing...

White Sox v. Philadelphia Phillies 7:10 August 23rd

Sox at Indians (Rodon vs Salazar)
QUOTE (chisoxt @ Aug 18, 2016 -> 09:35 PM) Most of the time, my eye test of a players performance jives with the advanced statistics of how well a player is actually doing. However in the case with Nate, it is not the case. The eye test says he's been bad but his advanced metrics say otherwise. Jones is decent... but should be our 7th inning guy. The bullpen is so thin and horrible right now... It's full of guys with either no control or stuff that has blinking lights on it for takeoff. Robin is hot garbage... but he really is throwing out nerf bullets. What a mess of a bullpen.
-
Ventura says he'd return next year if asked
Robin leads the league in conceding losses the last 4 seasons. He does have a pile of dung to throw out there... but he doesn't help himself either.

I don't care if its tied... You put in Robertson there so you have some chance...
