DUI's are not the final word on someone's character - probably 95% of this board has been in a position where they could have gotten one. However I would never expect in 2021 to get a high profile job with this hanging over me... I think in Larussa's older age he probably is a much easier going person, but most people aren't really complaining about that - it's that he manages the games like its 1989.

Mendick has been hitting like shit.. but if we go back from now to when Ricky was bunting a lot a few years ago. It's overwhelmingly failed to work - if you have been watching the games over this time then you know this. It's a strategy that has failed over and over again.

He never has... and he is still that good which is pretty amazing. He has some moments where he shows better discipline than others - but his strength has never been his eye. He is more of a free swinger. His career high is 51 walks,. What he has great plate coverage and he is good at knowing what the picture is trying to do to him. I'm not saying he isn't a great hitter -it's just not his game. You can still be someone who swings at everything and win mvps - see vlad guerrero. If i had the energy to get your panties more bunched I could prob find all kinds of statistics that shows how he swings at pitches out of the strike zone over his career.
