Yeah I agree that it doesn’t really make sense for them to deal 6 years on an MLB ready pitcher (and other pieces) for 2. Unless there were other pieces involved going to Seattle like Eloy for example. JeDi doesn’t shy away from the multi-piece deals. Edit: maybe not Eloy but you get it.

I saw recently that the Braves only have 12 position players on their 40-man (which I think changed today with a trade). Thats impressive this late in the off-season.

At this point just hold him until the deadline. Teams will be in the hunt for pitching and they can’t fallback on the free agent market mid-season. Just put the best defense behind him every time he takes the ball. If that means Brett Phillips is in RF once every 5 days so be it.
