Hes only going to about $25M over the next 2 years too. They’re obviously not going to shell out a 9-figure deal to any free agent pitchers so might as well pay from your wealth of prospect capital.

I do think a package ultimately looks like: 2 top 100 prospects, a guy in an organization’s 10-20 range, and then one in the 20-30. Something close to that.

In 162 game season when you’re out of it in April, I feel like most players in that situation’s care kind of fades to some extent.

As a lefty he’s still going to get most of the starts. He still only makes sense in CF. Should have added a power bat to LF.

Unless you’re moving Springer and Vlad into a time share at DH with Bellinger moving between the OF and 1B or trading Varsho, idk how they will be able to. KK add is puzzling because it moves Varsho to a corner spot where he is less valuable than if he played CF, which he probably will do a lot based on KK’s past health.
