  1. Relocating and rebranding to where they aren’t even the White Sox anymore, maybe. Even then I’d probably still be a fan.
  2. Yeah I would be ok going with a platoon at 2B with Romy. Sosa being so young can open in AAA. If the platoon isn't working and Sosa is mashing, bring him up.
  3. Considering who he signed with, watch the Sox end up trading for him at the deadline this year.
  4. It's still only December so I guess there is time. It's pretty crazy how basically every top 50 free agent has signed already before the New Year. I wonder if that has ever happened (or at least when the last time that happened was).
  5. There's only like 2 people saying to give him a minor league deal to be fair. Like I said, he won't get as much a shot as your golden boy Nick Williams did ?
  6. Yeah that’s what I meant sorry. Looking at Spotrac, his salary was pro-rated but their luxury tax amount is still over.
  7. With Bauer being reinstated for over half the season, they are currently just slightly over the luxury tax amount (including arbitration projections). I saw a rumor at one point this off-season that they may be looking to get under this year to reset the penalty and make a run at Ohtani next off-season.
  8. He definitely won’t get the chance the great Nick Williams got.
  9. It’s not guaranteeing anything though. Chances are he wouldn’t make it.
  10. Just looked at the Marlins projected lineup now. More right-handed than our lineup.
  11. Yeah and anyone who suggested him said “minor league deal” at best.
  12. Idk I know Chisholm has played SS. I know there was talk of Wendle going to Boston within the past week or two.
  13. To be fair no one has said he needs to “earn” anything. It’s all about the correct call of getting that extra cash ear of control baby.
  14. How’s Yolbert’s glove? Maybe they can find value in him as a backup.
  15. One was a free agent and the other was controllable for 3 more years.
  16. Good chance you’d get an opening day spot to be honest.
  17. No idea, but he’s really put it all on the line with that Tweet.
  18. Yeah I’d like to add left-handed/switch hitters wherever possible but I guess if the in-house options are right-handed, I wouldn’t hate a Segura signing. Especially if he has to take a 1 year deal (maybe with option). I still think he’s a fit for the Dodgers or Red Sox.
