  1. Why would they have to wait 6 weeks? Madrigal came up not long after the date for him to get an extra year of control without a minor league season.
  2. I'm willing to sacrifice the like, 10 games. Although I would prefer he was extended and on the roster day 1. Edit: just looked at the schedule and realized they don't have many days off early. But of course, that can change due to weather and COVID.
  3. I think the point he is trying to make is if you use the excuse that they want to see him get minor league at bats for a couple weeks (just enough to get to that cutoff), you suddenly don't have that argument with the AAA season being delayed.
  4. Yep. Just toss at least a 7-year deal and buy out the 4 arb years he would have waiting until mid-April.
  5. I feel like that shouldn't effect guys currently in the MLB though. Guys called up prior to any changes in the CBA and service time should be grandfathered in under old rules in my opinion.
  6. 8-9-1 of Eaton, Madrigal, Anderson sounds good to me.
  7. If you saw the highlight of Angel Hernandez calling a pitch down the middle a ball, you'd argue he's in mid-season form. Edit: I have no idea why this double posted?
  8. If you saw the highlight of Angel Hernandez calling a pitch down the middle a ball, you'd argue he's in mid-season form.
  9. Lol go for it. I'm the one who can't stay out haha
  10. Yeah I'm trying to avoid this thread (clearly not succeeding it) but definitely plan on getting some work done over the next 45 mins and popping the game on. I've been running out of stuff to rewatch during the day working from home so even a delayed game is great lol
  11. This game is on MLBN at 3 so on a delay but still something if you want to do a blackout for an hour.
  12. The Sox are on MLB network today.
  13. I went 1. Eloy 2. Anderson 3. Robert
  14. Who was it that said there wouldn't be baseball until like 2023? They seem to be "juuust a bit outside."
  15. Ok I'll bite. Who the fuck is Mike Wright?
  16. I'd be ok pitching him out of the pen after keeping down about 2 months or whatever if is.
  17. Not the Rodon is likely to even be healthy or anything.
  18. I'd rather Kopech started the year in the minors and then came up to start (if there was a spot open) or pen after we got the extra year.
  19. Lmao when he comes up he will be in every day. The fact they didn't sign a DH is pretty telling he will be up quick.
  20. Same. But if Vaughn is not on the team opening day, I don't see Collins hitting 6th before Robert as the DH, which is who I'm sticking in the 8 spot (or Leury or Engel or whoever plays that day with someone else shifting to DH).
  21. Posted this in another thread, but I always assumed in would go 6-9: Robert, DH, Eaton, Madrigal. With all this Eaton stuff we've heard so far, I'm thinking he hits second, shifting Robert, DH, Madrigal 7-9.
  22. I had Robert 6, Eaton 8. Whoever DH's in 7 spot. I'm thinking this would mean Robert, DH, Madrigal 7-9. And then of course that can change after a few weeks depending on how everyone is doing.
