Because you have your guy with the highest OBP at the leadoff spot. and in 2018, that guy was Jon Jay. If Anderson and Moncada both start off hot, then yes, I would put those two at the top as I acknowledged in my mock lineup. Jay at the top is just how I start it. It could easily change to Anderson/Moncada or Moncada/Anderson 1-2.

Jay CF Moncada 2B Machado 3B Abreu 1B/DH Alonso DH/1B *Eloy LF Palka RF Castillo C Anderson SS *start him off 6th anyway and if he kills it, move him up a spot or two. The the top 2 and number 9 spots can change depending on how those 3 are doing.

I agree. But definitely work on expanding the league first to 16 teams in each league so they can make a more balanced schedule before cutting off say 2 weeks of the season.
