Just brutal offensively. Aside from a few games here and there, particularly against the Twins, this offense absolutely stinks. No ability to come back in games, no clutch hitting, not putting enough pressure on pitchers. Someone posted that theyre a bottom 5 offense since the ASB and that seems to track.

The way I see this going is we all are on suicide watch during the PIT and STL series, tied for the division or maybe even down a game by the CLE series. Win 1, maybe 2 there. Then we finish strong and pound the Tigers, Royals and Rockies.

Agreed. It's really gonna suck if they lose the division/2-seed because their best chance of making the ALCS is by earning that, but that is likely their absolute ceiling as any of Boston, TB, or NY would give them trouble in the ALCS. Hell, playing the Astros in the ALDS might actually be their ceiling, now that I think of it. At the end of the day we know what they are this year which is exactly what their record is. .500 in almost every month. This is not a championship team. If it makes anyone feel better, neither is Cleveland.

Seen him launch a few to left field. Cubs game for example. He's got it in him. I think he's smart enough to make the adjustments but also young enough to be pressing too hard and also his needed adjustments may be of the off-season variety than a simple mid season one. Alas, next year will tell us a lot about him.

Awful ABs. What is Sam even looking for? Does this team watch a disproportionate number of fastball right down the middle or am I tripping? Then just to swing at bullshit to end the AB. When this team is down runs they SUCK lately.

This offense better battle its behind off today. I want to see them match at least these 7 and start showing signs of life when they go down in a game. Comebacks are few and far between lately.
