  1. I feel like this is the deal we should be trying to make. Sigh.
  2. This is partially why I'm happy about this trade. This team might need some better division competition to keep them sharp.
  3. It's actually a little concerning that the Sox might be going with a "This time we will keep everyone healthy approach". If Kopech wasn't going to be transitioned to a SP, then a new SP probably should have been on the radar. What if Rodon runs out of steam? Cease cant be counted on yet. Giolito has not been an Ace this year.. and with our bullpen being so weird this year if one of them has a 'meh' playoff outing.. that might be the series right there. One injury to one of our top 3 SP and we are probably toast. Scherzer would have been an excellent fit for this team, as would Trea Turner. It's really a shame how weak our system looks and how teams like LAD and SD can seemingly make infinite trades and still have players teams want. Our blue chippers are limited to guys like Kelley and Thompson. The Sox should really be trying to land Kimbrel and Bryant at this point but that doesnt seem possible at all. Gonna be a rough time around here if the Sox get bounced in the first round again.
  4. Nats broadcast saying he could be hurt and looked rough going 1st to 3rd earlier.
  5. I'd honestly be so down for something like this. Once a month? Hawk was a lot more fun when he was calling for a good team and you know hed be having a blast calling for this one.
  6. Fucking Tim should be allowed to be upset and should not be suspended. Kicked out of the game, fine. But it seems like some shot was super fucked up in this game and you gotta let humans be human. Timmy standing up for his guys. I love that man.
  7. Eh, not worth it to judge. That person brought us some entertainment value, got their rocks off, and nobody is worse for wear. Bring on more foodies... but it is true there are people I will listen more closely to than them when a serious rumor happens.
  8. You should be able to still grab them at any Al's locations. BTW, think this belongs in SLAM. FYI
  9. lmao the guy on twitter throws out baseless speculation and leave it to whatever the fuck generation you are to take it as fact and post something completely moronic like this.
  10. yessss seby have him throw it down the middle and let the movement do its thing
  11. Does everyone in our lineup have an .800 OPS? Haha
  12. Hahaha I love that it's the Twins broadcast call for the walkoff.
  13. Reynaldo will probably have a quick hook with Kopech being his backup. I honestly don't mind it. I realize Lopez AAA numbers were straight garbage, but I do agree that we should at least see if we can turn him into anything that might still be useful for this team. Maybe we get lucky and he becomes a decent reliever. If not, well... it's a game against the Twins that we could win anyway even if Lopez does implode.
  14. This is likely the case and the Twitter warriors should relax. There is a real labor shortage right now. Service all over has been problematic as a result.
  15. I don't really disagree with your post. In a world where Nick Madrigal didn't get injured, I might ask that of Nick and utilize Tim as more of the middle of the order bat. Like I said, I believe that he can do anything he sets his mind to in this game, including hitting for more power. What do you think of trying to do something like that next year?
  16. Let me preface by saying I don't necessarily believe that he should, but I believe TA can do almost anything he wants on a baseball diamond, and I also believe if he committed to the idea, he could hit more home runs. TA believes he's the best short stop in the game. I believe him, I think a lot of us believe him, or at least respect that he feels that way. The thing is, other shortstops in the league are hitting for more power and not having to sacrifice too much of their batting average to do so. I believe TA really loves having a high batting average and it shows as he does hit tons of singles. He is also sporting a respectable 2.5 fWAR... but could he be better? Tatis Jr has .286 BA, 28 HRs and a 4.1 fWAR. Bogaerts has .318 BA, 15 HRs and a 3.9 fWAR. Turner .319, 17 HRs and a 3.9 fWAR. Correa .283, 16 HRs and a 3.4 fWAR Crawford has a .289, 18 HRs and a 3.4 fWAR Bichette .295 16 HRs and a 2.7 fWAR And then you have our TA who has 6 HRs and that 2.5 fWAR. Certainly terrible, but not the best SS in the league or the AL. Other SS's also have a higher walk rate and respectable batting averages along with their power. Tim has the swagger. He has the confidence. He has the skills too, IMO. Should he start trying to hit for more power? Would he be a more effective middle of the order bat as well?
  17. So much for Suns in 4. Haha I love the optimism though.
  18. Hes not a very good defender and always makes stupid decisions to chase balls in the stands or over fences that seem to always lead to some sort of injury. If Eloy could stay within himself and be a decent route runner, I still believe he could be a serviceable LFer. It's all on him to do that, though.
  19. Yeah but I dont think it will be that much of a seller's market as we approach the deadline. More teams will become sellers, so some help should naturally become cheaper.
