  1. Definitely. This year is much more in line with his career. You just never know if the added confidence of an MVP award, kinda like Jermaine Dye 2006 after winning the World Series / World Series MVP, helps you put up a big year.
  2. Man I was really hoping that MVP would propel Abreu to another sterling season. 1.1 less fWAR in 161 more PA's. Tough year for the big guy.
  3. Cubs are a AAA team so Robert might as well be back for that series and play 1 or 2 games.
  4. Locked on Sox podcast mentioned that Kimbrel's child has medical issues and that the Cubs really wanted to try and keep him in Chicago so he didn't have to move his child. Knowing this, I think the Sox will probably pick up that option and not trade him. And that's fine with me. He's really fucking good.

  6. Yeah, this is what I'm talking about. Ruiz isnt very good. Why was he put out there?
  7. If only the rest of our lineup could hit with the power that Seby does.
  8. I feel like Kopech had to be tipping his pitches there.
  9. Seby crushed that ball. Hahaha love to see it!
  10. Benetti is such a dork. "Bye bye little sebastian"
  11. Franmil Reyes wants to start a fight if someone gets hit today.
  12. Mejia losing his control... come on Leury....
  13. Honestly I didn't think the end of the hit streak would lead to an actual slump.
  14. The team really does go with him. It's amazing to see. We need him to pick it back up, and he will soon... hopefully DURING this series and not after.
  15. Foodies and Colon doctors disappoint yet again.
  16. Let's talk about Bryant. It's been awfully quiet on him and hes obviously going to be dealt. Is a 3rd crosstown trade in the works? Edit: Traded to Giants.
  17. If he stays healthy he is going to have a great batting average, a modest WAR, and basically never strike out. He will probably be a fan favorite too. But we got Kimbrel. Still would have liked to see Bryant included somehow.
  18. IDK, that's just what I was reading when the trade happened. I would not put it past the Cubs to overhype the kid, though.
  19. Of those three, I'd really like to keep Sheets, if possible. I think the guy has legit LH Power potential. But I can't help but feel like the Rays would easily beat that package. Plus, I guess the Cubs already got their 1B of the future when they traded Joc.
